Please indulge this non WDW question, we're going to Myrtle Beach May 2 to 13 and I'm trying to decide which route to take and when. I'd be interested to know traffic volumes on the approach to I-495 from 270, 495 itself and I-95 going South specifically at 10 am and midnight. My time to hit the road will depend on which of those times will have the least traffic and if they're both bad under these conditions we'll do I-81 to Winchester Va then onto Fredericksburg and on South. TIA.

I haven't been on them - I'll say that up front, however our "local" news traffic reports cover some of those areas and they have consistently been a noticed night & day difference in levels of traffic since we all entered into this social distancing stage of life, and a real decrease in traffic. My brother owns a place in Myrtle Beach and he swears by leaving around 5PM (we are about 45-60 minutes east of Annapolis) when going down 95/495. We favor 301 S thru Waldorf and dumping onto 95 right above Richmond/Kings Dominion area.
Enjoy your trip - happy driving! I hope you catch 95 S at the right time to take advantage of the EZ pass lanes!

Thanks, all, and we will be safe. Only one tank refill en route, disposable latex gloves for that and we're taking all our consumables. We're in a 3rd floor unit with a balcony overlooking the ocean and the building is ocean front, down the steps, right on the beach. We were there same week last year and without all this there was plenty of room to spread out, many yards not feet . I've been watching I-95 traffic cams and it is truly deserted.

I live where 270 joins 495 near the American Legion Bridge going into Virginia and traffic is very light at all times of day right now.

I had to drive to Reagan National airport last week during the normal morning rush hour, but there was basically no traffic at all.
