Traffic Alert--northern Va Now!

Mile marker 146 northbound on I-95 (just before Quantico) there is a bus broken down in the middle lane, the passengers have been off-loaded to the shoulder of the road. Traffic south of this point is at a virtual standstill. So if you commute to DC via 95, get off the boards and get going, because your commute's going to be longer than usual this morning.

I should've given you my cell # so you could've given me an alert yesterday. I was stuck at the draw bridge at 495. It went down to one lane then had you use the exit to bypass the road construction completely. It totally stunk! Whose idea was it to bring in the heavy equipment and shut down all those lanes around spring break...on a Sunday!

My husband was on his way back north after spending last week in Florida with me. I had him on speaker phone while I was getting ready for work this morning, and he told me about the mess. There was another accident heading southbound about 10-15 miles north of there where they were cutting someone out of a wreck.

Wow, I was just totally oblivious to this today. I live about 10 miles north of Quantico and leave for work at 5:45 a.m. and I don't think I ever heard this on the traffic report.

Goodness gracious, Anne. I-95 is a nasty stretch of road.

ITA - There is really no good time, but I typically travel through at off times like 10 am until 2 pm. You're SOL otherwise.

I wanna know how they got the passengers off the bus and over to the shoulder... did they walk across a couple of lanes of I-95? Even with HWP directing traffic that's really taking your life in your hands around here .
