I was inspired to ask this based on another post over in the PARKS BOARD......

How many of you keep your Disney Trading Pins with you as a carry on when you fly vs. packing them in your checked baggage?

My husband has been building a good supply of pins via Ebay this past year so that he can begin trading. We really do not want to pack them and risk losing luggage.........

For those of you who take them on board as a carry-on, have you ever had any troubles going thru Security?

Thanks

No problems going through security. They may open the container to see them and comment my you have a lot of pins. :)

My daughter has done it quite a few times with no problems.

We had no problem keeping them our carryons, as well. No one ever questioned them. I don't think I would put them in my checked luggage. They are safer with you.

We put DH's pin bag in a rolling backpack, we take the pin bag out and put it in a box to go thru the conveyor belt. We always get asked "is that a laptop?", sometimes they ask in Newark to view the bag, sometimes they don't. We always carry on the pin bag.
