Trader Joe's just opened near me....

My two favorite items from Trader Joes are the black bean with jack cheese burrito and the dark chocolate covered almonds.

Some of our go tos include:

Orange Chicken
Naan (frozen)
Dumplings (Thai Shrimp Gyoza and Thai Vegetable Gyoza) with sweet chili sauce
Olive Oil
Sweet corn (frozen)
Fish Nuggets (for my girls)
Rice Pilaf Orzo (my daughters inhale this!)
Spaghetti sauce
Salsa Authentica
Ready made Pizza dough -- wheat
Goat Cheese Brie (and many of their other cheeses)
Himalayan Salt
Edamame (my baby inhales this as well!)
Organic Mango Nectar

Some bonuses:
Canolis
Frozen chocolate crossiants
Ice Cream cookie sandwiches
At Easter time, their Chocolate/PB eggs are divine!
Always check their holiday candies....so good!

Hope this helps! TJ will take back any product you aren't happy with. There have been very few products that we were disappointed with.

My family LOVES trader Joes! I wish I had one by us! We have to go there when we bring my DD to the Dr. It's a long drive, so no frozen, cold foods for us there- I'd LOVE to buy 100% of my groceries there!

We LOVE...

JoJo's
Trader Joes brand coffee beans (CHEAPER than most other store brands AND very good!)
Orangina (orange drink sold in Europe that we cannot find ANYWHERE else in the USA!!)
trail mix
brownie mix
asian noodle bowls (with rice noodles!!!)
the produce there is very good. We've purchased apples, oranges, bananas and a few other things, they've all been good
we pretty much love the entire bread section! YUM.
A friend of mine got me going on their cheap wines and they have a huge variety of them. YES, they are GOOOOOD!! I get about 4-5 bottles each time I go, because my aunt also loves it and I'll bring a bottle or two back for her!

Ok, how did I not know that I had a Trader Joes about 30 minutes from me??

I'm going to have to go check it out on my next day off.. all these foods you're mentioning sound so good!

Okay I'll be the lone dissenter. :rolleyes1 Spent 30 minutes walking around and around, up and down the aisles and couldn't figure out what to buy. Lol. Finally bought some bottled spiced apple cider that they were giving out samples for just to have bought SOMETHING.

None of the frozen foods appealed to me. Even the suggestions given by other posters wouldn't be something I would buy or eat normally. Didn't find things "super cheap" where I would try it out just because it was so inexpensive. :confused3 And the produce didn't look good at all and not much variety. The bakery looked ok but I'm more attractive to stuff at Costco or Stew Leonards.

I guess I am just a Costco girl. Now, Stew Leonards isn't the most inexpensive store but everything is FRESH - great bakery, produce, prepared foods - everything in there screams BUY ME!! Stuff I normally wouldn't even think of buying.

Nothing at TJ screamed the same to me and I really WANTED to buy something, I really wanted to love it since it was about 15 miles from me.... so I was kind of disappointed that I couldn't find anything I really wanted to buy.

My shopping list includes:

Semi Sweet Chocolate chips (dairy free, nut free, inexpensive and GOOD!)

Frozen Veggies: sweet peas, organic broccoli florets (no stems), hericot verts (french string beans), country potatoes w/mushrooms and string beans), breaded eggplant

Frozen scallops in a cream sauce

Butternut squash raviolis (very good-fresh)

Frozen Party Meatballs

Fresh Mozzarella string cheese

Banana Bread mix

Sunflower Seed butter

Maple syrup

Cut flowers

Mini Tacos (frozen appetizer)

Great cheese selection-reasonably priced

Actually need a trip there tomorrow :thumbsup2

i buy Kind bars and think thin bars (good prices)
organic TJ ketchup
tofu that comes in the two mini packs
some produce-depends what is in season
brown rice pasta
GF mac & cheese mix
Udi's bread, bagels, and rolls
TJ GF frozen waffles
those fruit leather bars
organic corn kernels for popcorn
canola oil
fresh mozzarella logs
applegate farms lunchmeat
sometimes the frozen fish
frozen fruit bars

did not like their OJ, olive oil, and crinkle cut potato chips (way greasy). i also have to buy very large bags b/c they tend to be the GF ones so its cheaper for me to buy brand names with coupons at the other stores.

i eat GF so they have ton's of affordable options for me. most TJ GF items cost twice as much at other stores. the TJ is like 5 min up the street from the big foodstore and Target. i will do a foodstore hop.... big foodstore for sale items, target for sale items, TJ for other items/GF staples. it sounds like it takes long but the beauty is i can get in and out of all three stores at this point in 10 min flat so the three can take as little as an hour of my time. i typically spend more time in line at TJ than shopping since the store is tiny.

Orange chicken and potstickers are to DIE for. I love their muffins too. Sadly there are none in Houston, but there's one right by my mom's house in California and we shop there constantly when I visit.
