Tracking Disney ships on marinetraffic.com

I will admit that it is nerdy, but I like to watch vessel traffic on the internet via marinetraffic.com. I have noticed that Disney ships usually can only be tracked when they are close to FL. Are there any current or ex-seamen that can explain this?
