i am recovering from swine flu!!! plus a secondary chest infection, not a pleasent experience, but finally beginning to feel human again!!!

off school this week - yep i get ill during a school break!!
will hopefully catch up with everyone - hope all is well :)
 
Sorry to hear you are sick! :hug: Hope you are feeling better soon. :wizard: I'm pretty sure both my kids had swine flu a couple weeks ago, but I didn't get them tested. They had extremely high fevers, cough and sore throat. Of course this happens 2 days before we went to Mexico on holiday! Isn't that always how it works??

I'm on antibiotics for the chest infection - giving me terrible runs to the loo!!! hoping it might budge the scale though ;)
off to organise the small halloween party i'm throwing on saturday thats fast turning into a huge party!!!
 

OMG, Tracey, I am so sorry you got Swine Flu! Very scary, I am so glad you are okay. You kill me with hoping your trips to the loo give you some weight loss!:rotfl: I guess something good comes of everything.;)

I wondered if you might get this since you work in a school. My son got in August from volunteering in a daycare. Take care and don't overdo things!

Tracey -- I am so sorry you were so sick. I hope you are getting back to feeling 100%. I have just been catching up on your journal. I am just astonished that your DD is 15!! And those pictures of you at the wedding are beautiful!! You are so thin!!! Can you believe it when you see those pictures? All of your hard work and discipline have finally paid off in a very big way! I am so happy for you. :hug: Keep up the great work. :)

Had to call the Dr today - the antbiotics are playing havoc with me - drowsy, spaced out, headaches, feeling sick & the runs!!!!
they've told me to halve my dose - & i do feel better for it :)

i'm soooo itching to exercise though - i did go to the gym Tuesday & go spinning wednesday night - against everyones advice :rolleyes1 i did better than i thought but it wiped me out, my energy levels are sooo low & i HATE it. i missed the running club thursday night - was gutted, but no way i could have done the 4 mile loop they were planning that night!!
I might try & make the gym tomorrow & not go mad :rolleyes:

i was soooo looking forward to a break & dont feel like i've had one, i 'd planned on lots of fresh air & exercise & ended up stuck in :(
oh well, i shouldnt complain - i'm getting better thats the main thing!

WI - 10 st 8 lbs (148 lb's) :goodvibes just need to get back on track before it piles on from lack of exercise - can you tell i'm paranoid about this!!!???

spent today getting the house ready for our halloween party & yes Amy you can come - i've even bought 2 bottles of malibu ;)

Cam - thx for the compliment, i do feel so much better with that weight off, just want another 7-8 lbs gone :)

Kim - hope your doing well, i miss not being able to catch up with you :hug:

phew the halloween party was fun but hard work, it felt a little more wilder than last years, & i was a bit dissapointed in the way some people treated my home, but were all cleaned up now & back to normal, dont think i'll have one next year though!

Saturday
made the gym :)

b/fast - cereal
lunch - 4 crispbreads, yogurt
dinner - cheese sandwich, bag of cheese curls
nibbled a little at party but not too bad - smalll bowl of rice & chilli, 1 slice of pizza, 1 smll piece of quiche, 1 smll piece of choc cake

sunday
cant believe i'm back at work tomorrow!! i dont feel like i've had a break - being ill & all!!
spent the morning cleaning up & putting halloween decorations away! was gonna go spinning but felt too tired & chest is playing up a bit!

b/fast - cereal
lunch - smll baked potato, smll piece of quiche
dinner -oxtail soup,1 slice of bread, lf choc mousse, bag of cheesey puffs

Sounds like the party was a success!! I am always amazed at how trashed a house can get after a party. I still haven't mopped my floor from our party on Saturday, I need to do that tonight... :eek:

I hope your first day at work is OK. I know it's hard going back, especially after being sick during your break!

Ahh, Malibu at Tracey's party, now that would have been fun!!!

Take it easy and don't over do. You can't let your anxiety over your weight and not being able to exercise cause you to overdo things and make yourself sick again!

148 Pounds! OMG, that is awesome. I should live to see that day on my scale.:sad2:

dinner - steak, onion rings, mushroom, mini corn cob, fries, lf choc mousse -700 cals
total - 1800 cals - high!

wednesday
exercise - cycled to & from work, HARD min 45 spinning class!
b/fast -cereal - 250 cals
snk - banana - 100 cals
lunch - prawn salad, lf yogurt, pineapple - 350 cals
snk - 4 crispbreads, cake - 250
dinner - chk & noodles with veg - 500 cals
total cals - 1500

Thursday
exercise - cycled to & from work
b/fast - cereal - 250 cals
snk - banana - 100 cals
lunch - prawn salad, lf yogurt, pineapple - 400 cals
dinner - baked potato, scampi, lf cheese, lf choc mousse - 550 cals
total cals - 1300
wanted to go back to running club tonight (missed when ill last week) but fell off my bike & hurt my leg!! :headache: i have a huge lump/bruise on my left outer thigh :( so i feel like a beached whale sat on the couch doing nothing!!

WI tomorrow - i feel like ive gained hoping im wrong!!!

Ouch, I hope your leg is better! :wizard: I think some of the worst bruises I've seen on my kids came from falling off their bikes!

How did WI go? You have been doing great, I'm sure it went fine.
 
well another week has flown by!!!

last weeks wi was awesome - wi with nurse had me hitting my 2 stone (28lb) weight loss goal, i forgot to get waist measurement though!!!

it was our 3 yr wedding anniversary (can you believe its been 3 yrs?!!?) good things always seem to happen on our wedding anniversary!! remember our offer on the house got accepted on our 1st anniversary??
The down side was though we ate out & i ate A LOT!!
followed by a day shopping with DD saturday & eating out again & in the evening a friends party & eating AGAIN
and the rest of the week wasnt great & i didnt get to run again Thursday as it threw it down & had parents evening at DD's school - so thats 3 weeks running i've missed :(
SOOOooooo wi this week 2lb gain, so much for being told that losing weight slowly means it will stay off!!!
did get gym in last saturday, spinning mon & wed & gym tues, only cycled to work once this week - weather lousy! food even lousier!!

went to hospital yesterday to see consultant about my throat problem (remember i had a camera down my throat may/june?) it seems to be better & they discharged me :thumbsup2 think i have silent reflux, but i'm not convinced, i had a really bad cough for 3 months & i think it was all the coughing that caused throat problems, but good news nothing more sinister :woohoo:
