Thursday
busy day at work - i came home feeling really tired & my feet ached - so i decided not to do the gym, seems to be a common theme today - after checking out journals most of you seem to have felt like this!
I think starting back to work after a 2 week break is starting to hit me now its nearly the end of the week!!
Still...i feel guilty not going!!

will walk to work tomorrow & do gym Saturday

Thursday food
b/fast - cereal --- ok i feel i have to explain why i have the same breakfast every day - i LOVE this cereal, its got strawberry bits & oats in it, i could quite easily live on the stuff
snack - banana
lunch - cheese & ham roll, yogurt, strawberries
dinner - quiche, potatoes, chk pasta - not very healthy but i needed the energy!!

off to try & get pic of DD in her dress online before Ameracan Idol :)
PLZ DONT tell me who goes - we are a day behind here so i dont get to know till Friday night!!
 
Hi Tracey, the gym will be there another time. Some days I think we all just need a break. You are probably right, just staring back to work after a break has wiped you out. I think your food looks great. That cereal sounds yummy! Tomorrow is Friday!!!!

Hi all - i'll warn you now - i'm on a downer!!!!

Friday
walked to work
WI - another gain - 1lb - thats 3lb's in the last 2 weeks!!!
so i'm pretty fed up about that! i'm thinking 'why am i even bothering working out???'
& on top TOM arrived & has completly wiped me out!
noticed the headaches are getting worse around TOM dont want to go to Dr as i know he'll take me off pill then all my other problems which would be much worse will kick in!!!

b/fast - cereal
lunch - sandwich, yogurt, pineapple....dip yep somebody bought some in again!! didnt eat the lot this time though!
dinner - fish & chips, cream egg

Saturday
feel even worse than yesterday - tired, drained, light headed, moody....i guess you all understand eh!
DD went shopping with friends
DH went to football with friends
I sat home feeling lousy & feeling sorry for myself....
 
Tracey: Don't give up! I had a gain of about four pounds over three weeks when I first got back on track and began walking. Then it all came off. I think your TOM is the culprit, I don't think your food is making you gain because overall you are doing very well. It sucks plain and simple.

I hope your headache gets better. Just let TOM run its course, this too shall pass. Being a woman is not fair sometimes. Again, just don't give up, and I know you won't. Its okay to be peeved however!

Have a great rest of the weekend. Try an ice pack on your head and some caffeine. A regular coke or Pepsi can work wonders for me when I have a headache. For some reason diet doesn't help.:hug:

basically i've done nothing all weekend - no gym, just eating rubbish!
stomach cramps have gone but headache still there in full force - just hoping its gone before work tomorrow, i know feeling down is proberbly due to TOM but i'm not usually this bad!! or am i?? maybe its like giving birth & you forget afterwards!!!
The headaches are pretty new, got it last month bad but i think that was the 1st time, i dont usually feel depressed - just bad tempered!
The headaches are the worst though the pain is in my temples & up the back of my neck into the base of my skull & i get a headrush when i stand up.
Any Dr's out there???

Amy the caffine may be worth trying - i never have caffine - decaf tea & caffine free coke & fruit juice is all i have in the house right now though (+ a few bottles of wine & malibu ;))

Saturday
b/fast - cereal
lunch - cheese & ham roll, small cake, yogurt
dinner - spag bol, cream egg

went to bed at 9.30pm

Sunday
b/fast - cereal
lunch - lemon fish, cheesy potatoes, corn cob
dinner - 5 crispbreads, small cake, yogurt, tub of dip with tortilla chips :rolleyes1

i think eating seems to make my head feel better!!! till i stop eating!!

oh & its snowing :(
 
Tracey, I am sorry that headache is still plagueing you! The caffeine helps me tremendously. And for some reason, a regular soda is what works best. Also cold compress, head and neck rub (this job is for Gary ;) ), hot shower, exercise and NO chocolate are all things I do to get the symptoms to lessen. Also, being in a dark room, preferably resting or sleeping. Oh, and Excedrin Migraine is another one. Although it also has caffeine and aspirin in addition to the tylenol product so it can make you jittery. But it can really help. I hope you get rid of it soon, when my head hurts, my whole life hurts.

Don't worry about eating rubbish, frankly I didn't think your food looked bad at all. Just feel better soon!

woke up this morning & head felt better, i had a nice hot shower that helped (thanks Amy :)) BUT by the end of the day (after i had to help some parents that are having a rough time of things, & dealing with their kids aswell...sometimes i think i dont know how lucky we are!) my headache is back!! not quite as bad but its there :headache:

I did talk to a work collegue who has exactly the same headaches during TOM & she has been to the Dr they told her proberbly hormones & shes had to have blood tests, i'll see what her results are!
Oh the joys of getting older!

I did walk to & from work (50 mins altogether),so at least i burnt a few cals!!

Mondays food-
b/fast - cereal
lunch - chk salad, strawberies, yogurt
dinner - having tuna & tomato with pasta & cheese

Amy - your right - food could have been a lot worse over the weekend, the only thing i felt really bad about was the dip - i didnt even enjoy it that much but i can feel it around my stomnach today!!!

Tracy - i havnt had the energy to go to the shop & get something with caffine in!!! if i had my brain in gear i could have had tea with caffine at work but i just made my usual decaf earl grey!! I will remember tomorrow!!!!


I'm hoping to feel well enough to hit the gym tomorrow - even if its just a steady walk on the TM!

I think you did a great job with your food and your walk yesterday!:thumbsup2 I'm sorry to hear that your headache returned after the situation at work. :( When I taught fifth grade, we had several instances where we had to help both the parents and the students through some very rough times. It was very hard to deal with sometimes, but it made me really appreciate the blessings that God had given us. :grouphug:

I hope you get the headache gone for good tonight. Hormones and getting older make being a woman just that much harder don't they? Great job getting that walking in on your way to and from work. That's a lot of exercise given how you are feeling so well done!

I have to second all of Amy's suggestions. I get migraines, and she hit all of the things that help. If it is hormone related, the caffiene will probably be the biggest help. One thing is, you should avoid red wine, chocolate, and cheese until it is gone. Those can be triggers.

You did very well with your food and exercise, especially since you are feeling crummy.

wow where has the week gone???

Glad to report headache has finally gone!!
Exercise:
Tuesday - made gym
wednesday - made gym
Friday - walked 25 mins to work & jogged during pe lesson!

Food has been pretty good & the scale went down 2lb - thats 2lb off the 3lb gain.... not including the 14lb gain that i'm still trying to shift from Christmas!!! but at least it went the right way!!

We have neighbours!!! they moved in today!
not met them yet, i know the girl has just had a baby - will give them time to settle in then i will go round with a card and bottle of wine to welcome them :)

I have to do a little dance as i'm under the 4 month mark now for our wdw trip

Wow, Leanne is really growing up, she's beautiful (and she looks just like her mom I might add)! Way to go with the two pound loss, getting so much exercise in and eating well! You had a great week. And I am sooooo glad your headache is gone. Why can't I have neighbors like you?
 
Tracey -- So glad you are feeling better! I am so impressed with how diligent you are with walking to work. Beautiful pix of Leanne! She looks gorgeous! What a fabulous smile! Hey, guess what? I have the same bride doll that you have in your curio on the second shelf! I always thought that if we renewed our vows, I'd wear that type of gown with fur trim and fur headpiece. But then I decided to do it in Disney, so even though it is in the winter, that style gown won't work. But I :love: knowing you and I share tastes in that regard! :hug:
