Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

Hi Tracey, your food this weekend was awesome, great job! And as usual, your exercise was really impressive (putting me to shame as usual). I think that trip definitely is giving you some more motivation! At this rate you will be the gal in the string bikini at the Pop pool! Oh and by the way, the Pop Century pool bar has been very good to me, be sure and visit them while you are there! Keep up your hard work, you are really in the groove!:cool1:

Florida in August is HOT! :beach: I think that the crowd levels will depend on whether free dining is offered or not.I also think that the last couple of weeks are typically slower crowd wise because a lot of families are getting ready for back to school. In any event, you will have a wonderful time!:thumbsup2

Well i resisted cake last night but had 2 large glasses of red wine & 4 chocolates! Was only gonna have one glass but DH went & refilled my glass without asking first!! How could i say no :confused3

Today
b/fast - croissant, earl grey
snack - low fat/sugar hot choc drink
lunch - soya & linseed sandwich with cheese & onion filler, yogurt, strawberries
dinner - pepperoni omlette

NO CHOCOLATE :cool1:

Went to gym..again :cool1:

Kim - we stay as long as possible in wdw as it costs sooo much to get there!!

The Pop pool has been good to me with all their fruity concoction choices! Not free but worth every penny! Try the mai tai's they are yummy and will make you very at peace with the world.

Good job reisisting chocolate today, no easy task I know! And of course you couldn't hurt dh's feelings by turning down a second glass of wine ;) ! Besides, wine is good for you! Keep up your hard work, you are doing great!

Yay on the trip!!!! How fun. I can't believe you've never tried a mai tai, they are SO good. You'll be hooked after your first one!

You have been doing awesome at the gym and with your eating. I think you will eventually ween yourself off the sweets, just give it time.

I'd love to go to WDW in August! Heck, I'd love to go anytime!

I finally got up the gumption to ask DH (via email) if we are planning to do anything for our anniversary - like WDW? It's where we went on our honeymoon (only because we were able to stay at my DSis house for FREE as she was in Iowa for the wedding). He never responded! :confused3 I figure it couldn't hurt to ask!

You really are extra Disney-ish today! Having fun thinking about planning, huh???

Hi Tracey, very good job resisting the chocolate! You are just doing so incredibly well, keep up your hard work and determination!

I love Malibu and diet coke, I always take a nice big bottle to WDW ;) , and top off my refillable mug with a shot! Then I have a few Mai Tai's and all is good. Dh and I had too many mai tai's one night at Pop two years ago and somehow the kids were able to talk us into about $75 worth of junk in the Pop gift shop! So kiddies like Mai Tai's too! Oh, and while we are on the subject, go to O'Hana for dinner and get a Lapu Lapu. Can you tell I like to drink?

Wow where has the week gone!!!
I cant remember all my food from tuesday, but the good news is i resisted choc & cake all week :banana:
Did gym saturday, sunday, monday :cool1:
Bums & tums - Tuesday :banana:
Was gonna go to gym Wednesday but life got in the way!!!:confused3

Thursday
Went to hospital for butt check up (remember when i was admitted with prolapsed hemoroid just before my wedding party??) they never even looked!!! Just asked if i had any pain I said no so they said thats it then you dont need to come back!!! 2 hours in the waiting room for that!! I could have told them that by phone!!!
Went out for dinner & to the theatre , i had chk curry, gave away the poppadoms & dip :) did have 3 ciders & a glass of wine though :(

Friday
Went to gym :cool1:
Resisted fish & chips & had a baked potato instead & a small choc, caramel cake (1st one of the week)

b/fast - apple, cinnamon breakfast cereal, earl grey
lunch - mexican chk salad, yogurt
dinner - baked potato with cheese, chk & bacon, small choc, caramel shortbread

I've also started taking kids up to the school allotment site during the afternoons at school, so got a bit of extra exercise in there too :)

No gym today, but hoping to walk, swim or something!!

Tracy - been reading up alot on universal hotels, made notes when to book ADR's & plane seats, read about the new seaworld waterpark that will be open when we go :yay: Just gotta fit it in somewhere!!!

Amy - what a great idea adding the malibu to your mug :) I may have to pinch that one ;)

Julie - do what i do - dont ask DH just book it ;)

Kim - i'm really proud i resisted cake for a week - well 5 days ;) I think i will be able to carry on now i've cleared the 1st week hurdle, still i'm gonna allow it at weekends!

dinner - cajun chk fahitas (SP??) with red onion, mushrooms, red peppers & cheese...yummy :)

I'm gonna try & resist the choc & cake during the week & have a treat at weekends.
WI on friday - no loss.....again:confused3 :confused:
Not happy about that but i'll just keep going!!! Just worried that if something doesnt show soon i will start to not want to go to the gym :(
 
Try not to get too discouraged about the weight, Tracey. I always maintain or even gain when I start to exercise. Seems the body builds muscle & resists letting go of the fat for a while.

You are REALLY doing very well and it WILL show in time!

I think planning is my fav part of any trip - it's the one thing I miss about DS17 not being in gymnastics - I ALWAYS was planning for some trip, somewhere!

I am not a bit surprised the scale isn't going down given your exercise of late. Muscle weighs more than fat and you have defintely gained some muscle! One of these days very soon the scale will catch up with all the good work you have been doing. Keep up your hard work.

And defintely bring some Malibu for your mug, it makes the mugs an even better deal! But you have to get a Mai Tai from the pool bar and think of me!
 
I know that when I exercise a lot, my weight doesn't go down. But you are building muscle and toning, so you should see a differnce in the way you look and how your clothes feel. The weight will eventually come off, don't worry! Maybe try changing something with your food. Have you ever determined how many calories you are eating? When I first started using FitDay, I was SHOCKED at how many calories I was actually eating (good foods, but too much of them!). You'll get there soon, you definitely have the motivation to succeed! :thumbsup2

I'll be headed your way in May, maybe we can arrange to meet in person!!

I had heard the saying muscle weighs more than fat, but wasnt sure how true it is!!

I'm a bit worried about my friend who i go to the gym with, her DD 8 has downs syndrome & is moving on to a new school & mum is having lots of problems with the old & new school not being able to organise things properly, she has suffered depression in the past, she has been back to doc & he has put her on medication for anxiety depression :hug:

Amy - that would be great to meet up, if your close enough by, keep me informed :)

Tracey, I hope thing work out for your friend and her son. No wonder she is depressed, that must be so stressful for her. You are a good friend to her I am sure!

Muscle for sure weighs more than fat. I agree with Amy M., track your food to the last calorie so you know exactly how much you are eating and if any adjustments need to be made. Its a fine science and can take some tweaking to get everyting the way you want it! You are working very hard and doing so well, be very proud of all you are doing!
