Well, I guess I've lurked enough and enjoyed everyone's planning and trip reports.....You ladies have been a source of enjoyment and entertainment over the past year or so while I was helping my DD plan her DFTW....so now I get to report on her wedding (she's not into posting on boards) that was 1/4/08 at the WP with reception at GF and desert party Italy Isola....
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL, BREATHTAKING, SAD, HAPPY AND OVERWHELMING....IT WAS EVERYTHING SHE DREAMED OF AND EVERYTHING WE AS PARENTS WANTED FOR HER......we laughed, we cried, we were exhausted by the end of the trip.

There were a few small snags.....a cold weather snap, some family members who didn't "get it".....two unexpected guests....but nothing that the planner didn't handle with ease and grace.....
Rev Kev was wonderful....a personable man with a great smile and quick wit...
About Face did a beautiful job with hair and makeup...
Rose Dizon took DD's e-mailed ideas and made them magic....theme was winter wonderland....lot's of snowflakes and "ice"....
Jennifer O'Leary (WP) was knowledgeable, willing and able to work with the budget and provided last minute accommodations for food (we had a plated dinner) for the unexpected guests and heaters for the cold snap so guests wouldn't be popsicles at the desert party....
The only word of advice
we have (from both bride and groom's perspective and Mom and Dad's) is to be sure to allot enought time between each component - from ceremoney to cocktail hour to reception to desert party.....ours started at 5:00PM and it was constantly moving forward to get to the desert party on time....which made dinner feel kind of rushed:confused.
Another small problems was check in for the bride and groom after the event....they were staying at the GF.....he had the best man take their stuff over earlier that day.....but they would not formally check them in until the bride and groom showed up ......so they had to wait quite a little bit at about 11:00 that night to get the reservation straight and get into the their room.....DISNEY SAID THAT THE GROOM (OR WHOEVER'S NAME THE ROOM IS ACTUALLY IN) HAS TO BE THE ONE TO CHECK IN EARLIER IN THE DAY....A BEST MAN CAN NOT DO IT....so there you go, just be sure you have the bride and/or groom find the time at some point to go to their hotel the day of the wedding (if they are changing rooms/resorts) for the wedding night...
So,,,,here's the link of the pics.....enjoy....and to all you other Mom's who might be reading this......take lots of pictures, enjoy every second and have a great time....it is worth all the time and effort, worth every penny, and truly a once in a lifetime experience.
