HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

I figured I would update before we sit down to eat our feast! I hope everyone is having a good holiday and gearing up for Black Friday (Like the crazy Target lady!) I ran out to Meijer (like walmart) and drove past Best Buy at 12:30pm and there were already 2 tents set up and another setting up when I got back a little bit ago..crazy!!!!

2 WEEKS FROM TODAY WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY WORLD!!! I'll be updating that trip later today or tomorrow. Finally I think we have some direction...but maybe not.

We saw Trans Siberian Orchestra last night in Cincinnati. It was good, definitively something you should see once in your life, but we were disappointed that there were not more Xmas songs. They are going on new tours and were plugging music for that as well so I guess we has just wished that they had played more Xmas but they have to make a living somehow right??? We probably won't go see it again but it was good to see it once.

SUNDAY OCT 24, 2010
MNSSHP!!

When we left off, M, J, and I were heading back to CSR. When we got back, J went to the gym, I went to the pool, and M began working on her costume. We were leaving for MK in 2.5hr at that point...

Once again it was a hot hot hot day in the 80s and I was thankful that I had decided on the Luau costume and not the Wendy costume!

Finally it was time to leave for the party! We waited a few mins for a MK bus and off we went!

Here's our much awaited costumes:

M..the ballerina from Haunted Mansion, the girl from the stretching room!

We got to MK 20 mins early and they let us in 10 mins before 4..SCORE!

We met K in the center near the Partners Statue. At that point, J and I said bye to the girls and her and I went off to our dinner at Crystal Palace!

Ugh Best Buy Black Friday shoppers are crazy!!! I wanted to go tonight at 3am to get in line to get a laptop, but I read that people start camping out tonight, or even earlier so there's no way I'm doing that! I'm just going to go to Walmart, Target and Kohl's tomorrow and see how I do with that!

I love your costumes for MNSSHP! Can't wait to see how you liked CP for dinner!

10/24 MNSSHP AND CRYSTAL PALACE

J and I headed over to Crystal Palace for our 4:10 ADR. If you recall, I was a bit nervous about this one and even asked J if we should cancel it but we decided against it and went in blind!

We walked up to the podium and there was no one there waiting. We were given a buzzer, sat down outside and were buzzed within seconds. We walked in and the place was packed!

We weren't even seated and gave our drink order when the characters started to arrive!

After Pooh left, we finally made our way to the food! We both started off with salads and bread and then hit the good stuff!

We weren't done with our first plates and another friend came!

I ended up with 2 plates of food and J had one. We both tried some desserts but were really not impressed with them.

The characters actually came around twice but we didn't get pics the 2nd time. By the time we paid, the restaurant had been cleared and there was a huge crowd outside waiting to get in. They must run in shifts or something and we were the last of that shift when we went in!

We paid and took pics on the way out!

Our overall thoughts on the meal:

-It was good food that we would expect at Disney but it didn't blow us away.

-The desserts were not very good.

-The characters were good.

-If we weren't on the DDP, we wouldn't have gone and would not pay OOP unless we had kids and then it would be for the experience.

We both agreed that we probably won't go back and that we enjoyed Chef Mickey's better but it was a nice place to try that we've never been to!


After dinner, we met up with M and K at Jungle Cruise and were ready for the party to start!!!

Love all your updates! I am glad to hear you prefer Chef Mickey's over CP since that's the one I picked for our trip. Honestly though I think sometime I'll probably have to try CP too.

I can't believe it either! Of course my dad said, why wait all that time just to save $50 well, for a family that doesn't have the extra $50 you'll wait. I just don't get him sometimes!

I felt the same way about CP. I needed to try it. My goal was to try it when my CP roomie worked there as a greeter but it never happened. Needless to say, I'll go to CM next time!

WILL THIS DEC TRIP EVER BE PLANNED?!!

Yay for my Dis friends, you got 2 TR updates and a PTR in one day! It will give you something to read on your smart phones as you are waiting in lines tonight and tomorrow to shop!

I think the title speaks for itself. Finally at Thanksgiving dinner (just the 4 of us), mom brings up the Dec trip, which BTW IS IN 14 DAYS!! Any Diser without a plan at this point would be a disgrace and I'm one of them!

We reviewed all the dining choices I had made and decided which to eliminate. Then, we decided the following schedule:

12/9: Arrival Day Mom, Craig, and I- no parks
12/10: Arrival day Dad, check out of POP and into WL- no parks and dinner at Captains Grille.
12/11: Epcot day with CLP, no park hopping
12/12: MK for MVMCP
12/13: DHS Day with lunch at Mama Melrose and possible park hop for MK EMH

So that was it set in stone but dad still seems h*ll bent on going to a park on Friday. I told him that I would like to add park hoping for them on Monday so they can go to DHS and MK and the hopping would give us hopping on Sat too if we chose to use it. When dad asked how much hopping was and I told him $54 per person total he went off and went nuts on the price when you are already paying $80 a day plus the $54 even though it's total and then went off on a rant about how the cost of the room was $400 a night even after I explained to him that that included meals and it is the same price as if we used Dbro's CM discount and paid for food OOP. Then he went off about why they were paying for my park tickets when I have an AP and I explained how I'M PAYING FOR THE PARK TICKETS, MY DINING, AND MY SHARE OF THE ROOM, and that I can use the park tickets to renew my AP next year.

He said he wasn't paying for the hopper and asked Dbro if one of his CP friends could get us in a day. Let me tell you, I was about to scream at that point. So even after somewhat of a conversation, we STILL have no for sure plans. I finally just said you are just spoiled because for the last 2+ years, you've had nothing but CM discounts which included rooms at 50 and 60% off, free park admission, meal discounts, and discounted dining plans.

So that was it. At this point, our plan is:

12/9: Arrival Day
12/10: DHS, no hopping, late dinner at Captians Grille
12/11: Epcot, no hopping, CLP Dinner
12/12: MK MVMCP
12/13: AK, Mama Melrose lunch at DHS, and MK hopping if and only if Dbro's friends can get my parents and Dbro in for free using a main gate pass. I'll have my AP.
12/14 Departure Day

If they can't..we'll go with the first plan I guess and either not go to MK on 12/13 (I can of course bc of my AP), or convince them to add the hopper for the trip.

Can you sense my stress?? This is supposed to be my family with all the master plans and things being in place months ago. I wish I could replan the Oct trip, that seemed less stressful. So here I am 14 days till departure day and I'm still stalking ADRs and putting together planning itineraries when I should be printing mousekeeping envelopes and organizing my binder.

With all this being said, I think my title of the update will become the TR title....

My mom has always wanted to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra. I have been trying for weeks to win her ticket to their upcoming show here, but I just haven't had any luck. Oh well! Maybe we will go someday.

I'm sorry about your stress for your upcoming trip. I feel like I am really far behind on planning our trip, too. It's only 29 days away and my binder is nowhere near complete. I haven't even really sat down to think about our itinerary yet!

Ahh! Sounds like your in the same boat as well! I'm not doing a full-out binder for this trip. We only have 3 ADRs so I'll print those menus and that's probably it. We've stayed at POP and WL many times so I don't feel like printing those menus or any CS menus would be worth the time, ink, or paper.

HAPPY SATURDAY DIS!

Both my mom and I keep saying it feels like Sunday. I'm super glad it isn't! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving! I'm glad I got to eat a good meal because later that night, I felt sick My throat began to get sore and I had taken sinus meds earlier in the day that made those symptoms go away but now the throat had started. I was so pumped for Black Friday even though we didn't need much this year. I went to bed at 8:30pm and got up at 3:30am. My throat felt on fire but I got somewhat dressed to go to Kohls to get my mom a kitchen aid mixer and quesadilla maker. I waited 1hr20min in the line for 2 things. I was pretty upset. I tried to check-out at jewelry but they were calling #s that I didn't have so I waited in the big lines. I hope she enjoys it haha.
After I got home, mom was ready to go out shopping. I still wasn't feel well and my throat was on fire but it was Black Friday so I sucked it up and we went to Bob Evans, target, best buy, and by then I was in pretty bad pain so we detoured to Urgent Care that opened at 9am, they took a step test = negative, and said it was tonsillitis...again. I had it last month and now again. It looks like I'll be calling an ear/nose/throat dr on Monday. I took my meds to Walmart and we shopped there while I waited and then spent the rest of the day in bed in and out of sleep and eating soft food. I'm feeling a tad better today but my left tonsil is VERY LARGE. Finally this morning the advil started to work for the pain and my fever broke.
Anyways, my Black Friday was pretty much a bust and today was as well. We (mom and I) were going to go see Tangled while my dad and bro were at the Ohio State/Michigan game..our movie date was a bust as well...maybe tomorrow!


Now for the update!

OCT 24, 2010
MNSSHP!!!


When we left off, J and I just finished our meal at CP. We called M and K and they ate at Caseys and were close by!

Our first adventure was K's ride/costume:

After that we headed to J's ride/costume!

In the one pic we had, it looked like she was attacking the poor people getting their PP pic taken haha.

After that we went to my ride/costume but did not go in, we're not crazy!

Finally it was time for the party to begin! We stood at main street and heard the party begin and then walked fast towards the candy in Toontown!

M and K wanted to go see the princesses/princes. J and I wanted candy so we parted ways and went down the candy trail and hit up the tomorrowland one twice and rode space mountain too! The girls joined us and rode space mountain too!


After SM and more candy, we made our way over to Pooh and rode that, SW, IAA, and headed towards Haunted Mansion aka M's costume. It was during the first parade so it was perfect!

We got in the line but then decided to get in the PP line instead which was a smart move since the parade let out when we got off the ride! Our PP pics turned out great but we didn't buy any! Sorry!

After the ride, M stood in the smoke near the graveyard.

There was this girl walking around that was the girl in the attic with the beating heart. We thought she was a CM at first and M took a pic with her too!

She didn't say a word. It turns out she wasn't a CM and was with her family. She was pretty creepy!

After fun at HM, we went towards the castle for Hallowishes!

It was very good. Better than what I thought 2 years ago when I was working/lived at WDW. Not as good as the Summer/Pirates & Princess ones!

After the parade, we headed towards Front.land and got a spot for the parade!

Of course we had the family that tried to sneak in right as it started. We had been standing there for a while and said..NOPE. If you can't do your research before coming, that's your fault. We did let the small children sit in front of us. It's our good deed I guess.

After that, M and K went to see the Villians show. J and I went to the dance party with toy story characters and got more candy! We stopped for pics on the way to meet the girls:

After that, we went back to FL to stand in line for Peter Pan. When we got to the front of the line a CM asked how many we had, we said 4, he handed us 4 fast passes and told us to get in the line right now. We waited 5 mins, not 40 We told Guest Relations on the way out how great he was!

After Peter, we decided to shop and head on out. We took pics on our way:

We said bye to K since she was heading home for work the next day and the girls and I headed back to CSR to crash! The next morning, we'd have EMH at AK, lunch at Epcot, and EMH at MK!!

Thanks I was able to eat small bites of pizza so that was good! I still think I need to see a specialist to see if having them taken out is an option and how much it would be. My insurance isn't so great right now so I'm sure it would all go straight towards my deductible and I'd be paying in full. We'll see!

Thanks!! I have a Pink Sony Cyber Shot camera. I got it um, 2 years ago I think. I had several Kodaks prior to that and my last Kodak gave out ie: would not turn on anymore, around the holidays in 2008 when I was living/working in WDW. I made my way to best buy and ended up with the cyber shot which I LOVE!!!!! It's been such a great camera. The only thing that worried me was the recharge battery which I had never had before and it's been nothing but great and lasts for a long time! I won't buy anymore Kodaks or batteries for cameras!

The bride girl was creepy. We figured she was just a CM until we saw her walking around in Adventureland and then figured out she was not a CM lol.

I'm starting to feel better today but I'm mad/upset that I wasted 2 of my 4 days off work but oh well. 8.5 work days to go until Disney World so I'm glad this happened now and at home than down there!

Hopefully the trip is planned soon. Bro still doesn't know if he's flying or driving. He's asked me to email the Realtor/ landlord that we had when I lived there to see if she has any places open so it looks like it's a pretty good bet that he'll drive, stay at my aunts in Atlanta going down and coming home, and that way if he does want to scout out jobs, he'll have his car and maybe a few extra days if he needs to stay!
