Hey T & B, I'm glad to hear your med's are now working properly!

Could only be for yesterday and today.

Must have been sad for the people to see the bridge coming down. Can you imagine what's it's like for people to witness a childhood home that's been destroyed due to a fire, etc? That must be very hard.

I know what you mean about watching memories being torn down...my grandfather used to work for Heywood Wakefield Furniture here in Gardner, and my mom has pictures of him working on a bridge that connected two of the plants together that went over one of the main roads in Gardner, the city decided to finally tear down that bridge last year as it was falling apart, my mom and alot of people who used to work there were upset to see it coming down, like my mom said, it was a piece of her dad!

Gardner............now there is some good furniture shopping!!!!!!

Used to be "Furniture City", we had Heywood Wakefield, S Bend, Nichols and Stone, Gardner Furniture...but unfortunately every one of them is either gone or going soon (Nichols and Stone is closing it's doors this month).

Wow, thats really too bad. I have not been for a couple of years and didn't realize so many places were closing.

All the furniture stores are still here, all the name brand manufacturers that used to be here are now either out of business, gone south or gone overseas!

It is sad to see things torn down but in some sense that is progress (I think). Here in Houston it is tear down central and it does make you feel that any sense of history is lost.

A neighborhood grocery store closed after 50+ years and the neighborhood was upset. The manager told the people that if they cared so much they should of shopped there.

I got mine in and forwarded the link to oldest dd's email.....may have a bunch of teens voting for you too (even though Kait is not particularly fond of Red Sox fans - long story)

Did I ever tell you we went to see the one Phillies Red Sox series at Fenway....hmmmmm...I think it was 2004? We really had a blast at the park.

And in 2006 Jim went to Microsoft Tech Ed in Boston, we went to a concert (Train) at Fenway as the closing party.....it was awesome.

Anyway - good luck and keep us posted

A closing party at Fenway just sounds great. My dad and sister are going to Boston this weekend to attend the Sox/Yankee games. I could not make it but I know they are going to have a great time.
