TPAS2 Alumni and friends thread

I was actually thinking the same thing!

Your menu sounds very impressive Cruz! :thumbsup2

Thanks, I really do enjoy doing it.
As a kid I never got the meaning of Thanksgiving. About seven years ago I decided I wanted to make it very traditional and special for my boys. So every year we do a giant sit down meal with place settings, centerpieces, and the whole enchilada (minus the enchilada:lmao: ). We all just love it!!!!

Well it sounds like you guys are going to have one heck of a feast! Other than turkey, I have no idea what my sister plans on cooking this year.

My DH swears the only reason I make Thanksgiving dinner is for the turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce sandwiches the next day. Now those are my favorite!!!!!!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes yum-o!!!!!!

Oh yeah, those are good!

My husband laughs, because my sister and I fight over the carcass...so we can make turkey soup the next day!

Our turkey turned out great but our side dishes were a little lacking. I made sausage apple dressing but it did not turn out as good as it normally does. I think the sausage I used was too low fat so the dressing was a bit dry. Not a total loss but not up to my normal standards.

Hope everyone had a good holiday.

I love a man with high food standards!!!!!

Its funny you mentioned the dressing cause that is the one thing that I always think I need to improve upon. Not this time, this was the first year I can say both of mine were spot on!:thumbsup2

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Let the shopping season begin! :rotfl2: :scared:

I'm almost done shopping for my family. I have some friend shopping to do, but I'm doing that at WDW. Check out my ticker! :teeth:

I hate you! :rotfl2: Do you want to come up to MA and do my shopping for me????? I haven't even started yet! I do plan on going out this weekend though, and making a huge dent in it though!

Are you kidding me, you're going back to Disney again, didn't you just come back from there? I'm sooooo jealous!

So how's the job search going for your husband, any luck yet???

I have just DW to shop for. All the kids are done. We got my son a Texan's helmet Fathead and some iTunes gift cards. DD is getting an ipod Nano.

T&B I am so jealous that you are heading back to WDW. Have a super great time. The Castle with the snow lights on it looks great in the pictures I have seen. It will be magical to see it in person. Is this a family trip???

My DD wants a Wii this year! My husband and I are debating that one, it would be a fun gift for us too though! :lmao:

I have no idea at all on what to buy my DH this year, he's sooo hard to buy for! I'm easy, I've already told him just to renew my Sirius subscription and get me something small from DD.

Nope, no job for DH yes. Which is one reason that shopping was fast...something called a budget. :rotfl: We did get the kids a Wii, though, which will be a lot of fun.

This trip is a budget trip...I'm staying with another DISer (LaraK) for a couple days and then my sister arrives for a week. My sister and I are staying at an offsite condo, but it's nice and cheap, so it will be fine.

I do hope to bring my youngest son for a long weekend sometime before my AP expires, but I want to wait until spring.

Oh I can definately relate to the budget thing, every year I tell myself I'm only going to spend so much $$$ then I start shopping and blow my budget to bits! :rotfl2: Maybe this will be the year I hold firm! I have to keep telling myself, the more $ I save on Christmas presents the more $$ goes into my Disney vacation account! :woohoo:

You've got an AP, no wonder you're there all the time! How exactly do AP's work????

Don't buy an AP!!! :sad2: The two trips I was going to take this year morphed into 4 and maybe 5 trips. :headache: But just in case...they are good for a full year. If you were to buy one on Nov 26th of this year it would be good through Nov 26th 2008.

I am planning on gettting an AP for my fall 2008 trip. Im only gonna use it then and maybe once more the following fall. We want it more for the DDE then anything else. Oh wic BTW, you can order an AP anytime but your one year doesn't start untill you activate it at a park.

If I had an AP I could definitely see a bunch of trips during that year. With the rising costs of Disney hotels I think I will look into off site too. When my in-laws flight got cancelled and they had to spend an extra night in Orlando they stayed at the Hyatt Cypress and said it was really nice. I think it was half the price of our rooms at CR.

Drumroll please. This is my 1000th post!!! It took me 6 years but I did it.
