Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

I paid another $125 on our trip over the weekend (change jar money + survey and rebate money) so our package balance is around $180. :banana: That's without DH's deejaying money!!!! Woohoo!:woohoo:

:woohoo: awesome job on the trip balance!!!!:woohoo: you go girl!!!:woohoo:

I'm all for a DIS meet.:thumbsup2 Just let me know when.:goodvibes

FYI - FairyTale Treasures have added a bunch more paid clicks. Not sure if you ever checked it out. Some are duplicates from Simple, but those pay better on Simple.

Thanks Lisa!:hug:

Today has been a frustrating day for me. :( My girls are definitely having a case of "selective hearing-itis". :rolleyes:I can't tell you how many times I've had to talk to them about their behavior and school work today. :sad2: My DH walked in the door, saw my stress levels were through the roof, called his mom to watch the kids, and is taking me out to eat soon. What a wonderful guy!:love:

I got a new Disney book from the library today. It's called Walt Disney's Imagineering Legends and the Genesis of the Disney Theme Park. I can't wait to read it! :banana:

I'm hoping to get laundry done and a walk in before the day is over. I guess it all depends on when we get home from dinner.

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

:wizard: that you and the girls have a much better Friday. Kudos to DH for taking you out. I hope you enjoyed your dinner. :goodvibes

That book sounds great!!!! Please let me know how you like it.

Thanks Lisa. :hug:

My DH and I had a great time last night!:thumbsup2 We went to TGIFridays for dinner and watched part of the NFL draft and the Cavs game. After that, we went for a 2 hour walk and had lots of great conversation. I definitely felt much better by the end of the day. :goodvibes

We've got a busy day ahead as usual. ;)

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Workout (ZUMBA from the library!)
* Work for DH
* Rewards Programs
* Clothes Shopping
* Pick up MIL from work

No real plans for the day tomorrow, but we're going to see Riverdance on Sunday with the ladies in my DH's family. It should be fun!:banana:

Weigh-in showed a 1 pound gain today. :( Why is it that pre-TOM I lose weight and post TOM I gain weight? :confused3 That doesn't make any sense to me! Oh well. Maybe Zumba will knock that pound off! ;)

That's about all from here. Have a great weekend!:grouphug:

Tracy
I am so glad that yesterday ended better for you than it started. :goodvibes I hope you all had a good day today. It sure does look like a busy one:goodvibes

Thanks Lisa. :hug:

Got everything done yesterday but clothes shopping. We went to 5 or 6 different stores and couldn't find anything the girls liked. :( They did find outfits at Justice that they liked, but when my DH saw the price tags and that each outfit would cost $40, he said no way; not for an outfit that they will only wear once or twice. It's back to the drawing board today. We'll probably head to JCPenneys and maybe a thrift store or two.

I got my Landry's cards from SR yesterday. :banana: We'll use those for our December trip at T Rex. My goal is to hit $50 by the end of the month so I can cash out again for either a Darden gift card for December or another Disney gift card. I think I have $41 and some change right now.

Today's Plan:
* Clothes shopping
* Clean the house
* Work for DH
* Rewards Programs

Tomorrow is the day we go see Riverdance. I'm looking forward to it!:banana:

Hope everyone has a great day today!:grouphug:

Finally getting caught up with you! Sounds like you have been busy as always. I've always wanted to see Riverdance, I can't wait to hear how it went!

Congrats on getting that trip paid down, what an accomplishment! :thumbsup2

This will have to be a quick post. I just spent an hour reading a trip report about River Country and lost track of time!:eek:

Riverdance was awesome!!! We loved every minute of it!:thumbsup2

We had a nice weekend. Too much shopping, too much spending. :blush:

Got home late last night....No one slept well so we are only doing a couple of things for school today. Then, we'll work on cleaning the house up a bit and head to the library.

Hoping to get a workout in today...Maybe WATP or Zumba.

Have a great Monday!:wizard:

Tracy, here you on the shopping. I did the same thing this weekend, Penney's was having some awesome sales. :thumbsup2

Glad you liked Riverdance. I love going to shows.

Have a great day and take it easy.

Thanks Lisa. :hug: Penneys is one of the places where we spent money unexpectedly this weekend. They had such a great sale going on that we had to take advantage of it. :thumbsup2 We got $118 worth of clothes for $22! :woohoo:

Not having the greatest of days here. :( The weather isn't all that great, I've had very little sleep, and we're having an issue with our mortgage company that is slow (and I mean SLOW) to get resolved. I am so hoping that tomorrow is a much better day. :wizard:

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:hug:

It's been a busy day here. :faint: Homeschooling, SR, Simple GPT, work for my DH, and a visit to my parents. Heading out to my MIL's house in a few minutes....

I made my goal of $50 before April 30th at SR!:banana: Now, I just have to figure out which gift card to get for our trip. :thumbsup2

No workout today. :( I will try and get a Zumba workout in tomorrow.

Only 13 more days of school!!!!:banana:

Have a nice evening!:grouphug:

Wow Tracy. You did awesome at Penneys. :thumbsup2 Don't you just love those sales. :goodvibes I spent $113.52 and saved $156.59. I love it when I save more than I spend.

Congrats on making your SR goal. :woohoo:

I hope your evening is going better and you can get some sleep tonight. Maybe the pending full moon is messing you up.

Hey Wish Sis, okay first of all, THANK YOU for the card and Starbucks card.:hug: You so didn't have to do that but when I got it today, I have to say I was so happy and touched! And I am having coffee with a friend on Friday and I guess its on you. What would I do without you?

I am so glad you enjoyed Riverdance. I have always wanted to see that.

As for Justice, that is where I get most of dd's clothes, they have good sales! Also, once you buy there, you get coupons. I almost always get 40% off. I need to look and see if I have some coupons laying around, if I do I"ll mail them to you. I always go there because their stuff fits my skinny daughter!

I am getting signed up with SR soon, just need Dan to help me set up an new email. Since I don't know how to do that myself.:rolleyes1

Thanks again for the gc sweetie. It made my day and made me remember that I have so much more than I don't have!

Happy Water Filled Wednesday!:cool1:

I am so glad that it's Wednesday already! :cool1: Only 13 more days of school for the year and we will finish Language today!:banana: The closer we get to summer vacation, the lighter the load on my shoulders. It's a pretty good feeling!:thumbsup2

As usual, we have lots to do today:

* Homeschooling
* Work for DH
* Budget
* Disney Meeting (DD7's request)
* Workout/walk
* Pick up a book at Borders
* SR/Simple

After school is done for the day, I need to sit down with our budget. We really need to tighten our belts if we want to meet our goal of paying off 3 major bills this year.

Well, that's about all from here. Have a wonderful Wednesday!:grouphug:

**************************************************

Lisa~ Thanks! All of the clothes that we got for our DDs were under $3/each!:banana: We got 4 shirts, 2 pairs of jeans, and a pair of sweatpants for the girls. I love Penney's sales!:banana:

Amy~ You are very welcome, my friend. :hug: I wish we lived closer to each other so we could have coffee and chat for an hour or two. It's kind of funny though because I'm having coffee with a friend at Starbucks on Friday too! :goodvibes

Tracy, I love the friend I am having coffee with this Friday, but I must say, I would give my right arm to have it with you instead! One of these day...:goodvibes

I can only imagine (makes me think of the song as I type this lol) how good it feels for your school year to be winding down. I really admire you homeschooling parents. Your girls are so lucky and as they get older they'll be so aware of all of mom's hard work and dedication!

We are sunny today, but "water filled" the next four days. Hope you get some sun soon!:)

Thanks Amy!:hug: I appreciate your words of encouragement. My heart needed those this morning!:hug:

Only 12 more days of school!:cool1: I'm so excited!!!:banana: It's hard being mom and teacher sometimes. In the summertime, I get to be just mom. :thumbsup2

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Walk
* Rewards Programs
* Work for DH
* Budget Meeting (gotta get back on track!)

I think we'll have a Disney Meeting tonight as well. That will counteract the lack of fun with the budget meeting. ;) We were going to work on budget and have a Disney meeting yesterday, but we just ran out of time.

Weigh-in is tomorrow. I'm not expecting a loss this week. If I have maintained, I will be extremely happy tomorrow. :banana:

Have a wonderful day!:grouphug:

Hi Tracy - hope all is well :) My DH went with his mum to see riverdance - they loved it too :)

Hi Tracy

:yay: for school almost being over. My kids will go until the last full week of May. They just got two days added to make up for the two days they were off for the freezing/possible snow days. Actually works for me, cause I was going to have to ask Gram to watch DD for those two days.

Ahhh, budgets. I do hope you are able to work it out. I am right there with you. I am going to do mine tonight. I should be able to pay off my first bill (goal) this weekend. :thumbsup2

What do you all discuss at your Disney Meetings?

Thanks Tracey and Lisa. :grouphug:

Yesterday was a nice day. My DH and I got to go out on another date!:love: We went to a coffee shop and talked for an hour before going for a walk. It's nice to have one on one time with him. :goodvibes

Weigh in went well. I'm down .6 pounds. Considering that I haven't been watching my diet at all this week, I'll take the loss!:thumbsup2

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Mow two lawns
* Coffee with a friend

My grandma is having a heart cath procedure done today. If you could send any good thoughts or prayers, we'd appreciate it.:goodvibes

That's about all from here. Have a nice weekend!:grouphug:

*********************************************

Tracey~ We loved Riverdance!:love: It was an amazing production!:cool1:

Lisa~ When we have our Disney meetings with the girls, we talk about our budget and how close we are to achieving our budget goals, we talk about the rides we want to go on, the restaurants we will eat at, and we discuss ideas about new things to do in the parks or at the resort. We usually watch a planning DVD as well. The main reasons for the meetings are to get the girls excited about their trip and to help them understand all of the planning, saving, and spending that goes on to make a Disney trip happen. :thumbsup2

Prayers for Grandma. I hope she makes it through the procedure okay. :hug:

:woohoo: for the loss :woohoo: You are doing wonderful Tracy! :thumbsup2

What a wonderful idea with the Disney meetings. Explaining the budget and all to the girls is an excellant idea. Something like that would work with my kids, but not DH. He is all for budgets and stuff, but he really doesn't know how much our trips cost. He would be wanting to cut stuff down (or out). I do work on the kids though. DD understands the best and now when she gets $$ for something, she'll give it to me to put in her "Disney Savings for Mickey Bars". She has approximately $80 saved up so far (she saved all of her Christmas $$) She is only allowed one Mickey Bar a day, so I am going to put the rest on a gift card for her, so she will have her own spending $$ and can pay for it herself. I am going to try to teach her how to track her spending by making of list of what she spends and how much she has left on the card. Not sure if that is over her head, but I am going to try.

I remember that you give your DDs Disney Dollars. Do they sell those at the Disney Store near you? I wonder if those might be better.

Sorry for the long post and to take over your thread. I hope you have an awesome day today and I will keep Grandma in my prayers. :hug:
