Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Finally getting caught up .... my thoughts are with your family. It is tough now for all of you, but hang in there. You are good to be so supportive of your DH.

Have fun getting ready for DD's kindergarten. That will be exciting for all of you.

Great job getting back into exercising. Have a great day. :sunny:

Hi Tracey, good job getting that exercise in. Its good to come up with a plan about healthy living. Given your hectic life, you need to plan ahead I am sure! How is your husband doing and your friend? I hope things are looking good :sunny: for your family. And I hope you husband isn't working all weekend so that you have some down time to enjoy. When does your daughter start Kindergarten? I'll bet you are both excited to embark on all of this. I really admire you for homeschooling. I don't have the discipline to do it. But weren't you a teacher at one time? In any case your whole family is lucky to have you! I hope today is great and that your weekend is a good one!

Good afternoon WISH buddies,

Yesterday was a long day.... My DD5's online school wasn't working right and I spent over 4 hours on the phone with tech support to try and fix it. :crazy: I was frustrated with a capital F! However, we were able to get the problem fixed and so we are all set for Monday's start. She is so excited! :Pinkbounc

The girls have shared their "bug" with me and I am not feeling well today. I'm going to try and listen to my body and not push too hard.

Today's Plan:

* School shopping

* Pick up check/ check schedule

* Disney Store

* Grocery Shop

* Home for an early bedtime...

We have our first soccer game tomorrow.... The girls were so excited at practice yesterday... They are the Green Gators! :cheer2:

Have a great weekend! :sunny:

P.S. I ordered a Mickey ring a week ago and it came today! It's silver and has Mickey heads w/ cubic zirconia stones in it. It's a fun reminder of our upcoming trip in December. :thumbsup2

Hi tracy--i am glad that everything is ready for Mondays start of school! i always get so frustrated with any time of computer problems :crazy:

Hope you feel better and relaxed a little bit today!
enjoy the weekend

oohh the ring sounds lovely, where did you get it?
My DF bought me a necklace for my 40th with a crystal mickey in the centre & a crystal circle around it, i love it :)
Hope your feeling better & GO GREEN GATORS!!!

Hope you all had fun at the soccer game today. Enjoy your last weekend before school starts. :sunny:

Hope you feel better quickly and enjoy the weekend before school. Sounds like a busy day of errands, but a visit to the Disney store is always a good thing! Your ring sounds adorable. Hope you're having a great weekend. :sunny:

Hi WISH buddies! :wave:

This weekend has been one of topsy turvy emotions..... :upsidedow

Friday: DH is totally exhausted. He only had a 2 hour nap on Friday. We went and got DD5's school supplies and did a small bit of shopping. Went to the Disney Store and McDonalds for dinner. Came home, went to bed early.

Saturday: Soccer... It was HOT outside and some of the girls didn't want to play. They lost by 2 goals. Definitely need work at practice this week. After soccer, we went to Taco Bell.... DH thought he was doing me a favor and we ended up arguing. He went to deejay, we went to church, and then there was some extended family- family drama. :rolleyes: Went to bed exhausted.

Sunday: Woke up sick......Struggled to keep things on an even keel the rest of the day. Went to work, out to eat, and home for some pre-homeschool, first day of kindergarten prep. for DD5. DH starts getting more and more discouraged as it gets closer for his time to leave for work. This job is draining his enthusiasm and positive attitude.

So that leaves me here, now. I am trying to stay out of the kitchen (emotional eating) and trying to focus on the positives in our lives. Again, it's hard to see my DH so discouraged. :(

I am going to read for a bit and then head to bed..... I've got a lot to do tomorrow:

* Homeschool

* Workout

* laundry

* Grocery Shopping (list done!)

* Work 5-9:30 p.m.

* Homeschool Prep for Tuesday

* eBay? (Maybe/maybe not.... having some issues here...)

Whew! Here's hoping for a great week ahead! :drinking1

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate right now. :goodvibes But good for you for resisting the call of the kitchen! I know that for me, stressful times used to always include binge eating. Good for you for maintaining your focus. In between your busy schedule of home schooling and dealing with dh, try to do a little something special for yourself. You deserve it. Here's to a great first week of school! :sunny:

Hang in there and good for you staying out of the kitchen :thumbsup2 . I am a stress eater too. You are going through a lot right now, but you will get through this. What is the saying - "God won't give you more than you can handle." Clearly, God has a lot of faith in you right now. Maybe that can give you strength to get through these hard times.

Enjoy your DD's first day of Kindergarten and take pictures too!

Have a good week. :sunny:

Good morning friends,

School went very well yesterday! DD5 got her work done and her only complaint.... When is lunch? :rotfl: That was at 11:00 a.m. ;)

DH received a great opportunity yesterday that will provide some extra money for us. I will be helping him with this project as it needs to be finished by the end of September. We'll get all the information soon. :Pinkbounc He was very happy about that yesterday, but he is getting more and more frustrated by the day. He is usually a very laidback, relaxed, and positive guy, but he has been super unhappy lately.....:(

As a result of my feeling his frustration, I ate and ate and ate yesterday.... I probably ate enough calories for a football team. :blush: My plan is to eat light today and get some type of exercise in. I really need to get back on track... I feel so heavy and lethargic. :(

Today's Plan:

* Library

* Laundry

* Homeschool

* eBay?

* Start cleaning the girls' room

* Workout

That's all for today! I will try and get to journals this evening! :goodvibes

Hi Tracy...sorry to hear of all that's going on at home.

I give you so much credit for all you accomplish every day. And on top of that...homeschooling. You are an AMAZING woman!

I hope things start looking up for your DH very soon! :grouphug:

Take care, and hang in there!

Hi Tracy-
you really do have a lot going on right now...i hope things settle down for you soon! hang in there tracy :goodvibes:

Hey, Tracy!

Hope today is a better day. Glad 'school' went well. I remember the younger years - enjoy it - trying to teach calculus is the PITS!!

Try to take a few 'you' minutes today.

I'm praying things improve soon.

Hang in there! I know how difficult it can be to be kind to yourself when things are so stressful. I hope you find a little time for YOU. :goodvibes

Tracy, stress eating is what brought a lot of us to where we are, so don't feel bad or alone! We've all done it, and we'll all do it again. Some days you just gotta eat! I hope today was better. That sounds great about your husband's new opportunity. That will certainly help ease things a bit. Too cute about your daughter wondering when lunch was! Sounds like her new start in school is off to a good beginning! Hang in there, I will "talk" to you when I get back! Thanks for your good thoughts and prayers, it looks like Ernesto won't be so much of an issue but I still hate to fly!

Thanks everyone for stopping by! :goodvibes I appreciate your encouragement and support. :grouphug:

Today looks to be a good day.... We have homeschooling in the morning, the girls will visit grandma in the afternoon, DH and I may have a chance to go out to eat, then I have to work this evening.

I've been thinking about my September goals and I will post those within the next couple of days. I really want to get back on track....

Hope everyone has a great day! :sunny: I will try and get to journals later this afternoon or evening.... Time to homeschool! :wave:

I'm glad you are having a better day today. I hope you and DH did get a chance to spend some quality time together. Sounds like you can both use it. Glad to hear about the great opportunity for DH. :wizard:

Hi Tracy
