Hello friends,

Today has been a good day! My DH took the girls and I to Downtown Cleveland to watch the Blue Angels practice for the Cleveland Air Show this weekend. Their air acrobatics are just amazing! My girls has so much fun that they were literally screaming with excitement! I was too, but I was a bit more subdued about it. :rotfl:

My DH and I both have the entire weekend off and so we are going to relax and enjoy since OT starts next week. (He does have to deejay, but that's not "work" to him. :goodvibes )

Homeschooling is going quite well....DD5 is catching on very quickly and loves the work. :goodvibes

I've been thinking about my goals for September and honestly, I am getting a bit overwhelmed by the thought of it. I have taken inventory of my weight and measurements and will keep track of both throughout the month. I will come up with something... I'm just not sure when. ;)

I hope everyone has a great weekend! :sunny:

Yes, take this free weekend and relax and enjoy yourself. Glad to hear the home schooling is going well and that you're even fitting some fun into your schedule. Have a great weekend!

I am so glad that you and your DH both have the weekend off. How nice for your family. The Blue Angels are so awesome, aren't they? Glad you and DD are doing well and having fun with homeschooling. :teacher:

Thanks everyone! :goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Soccer Game (In the rain)

* Disney Meeting with DH (This was supposed to happen yesterday, but we were both way too tired. We need to decide some things about the trip.)

* DH deejays, The girls and I will go to church and my MIL's house for dinner.

Tomorrow's Plan:

* Relax

* eBay? (Depends on Disney Meeting)

* Maybe go to my mom's for dinner

Monday's Plans:

* Clean a bit

* eBay

* Go to a local farm to get some fresh produce

* Relax

That's about all for the weekend. I'm glad that we have this relaxing weekend before my DH's 7 days a week + overtime begins. (He will work 11:00 p.m.-7:15 a.m. Sunday-Friday. He deejays every Saturday evening through November. Whew! :faint:

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :sunny:

Wow! Your DH is going to be really busy, and as a mom, I know that means you will be extra busy, too!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

I'm still praying about DH job situation. In HIS time!! (but dontcha wish He'd give us the timetable?????)

Wow - sounds busy!!! But, I love how you scheduled relaxing into your weekend. We all need to make it a priority wherever possible. It helps us have the energy for those busy times. Hope you have a great weekend!

Hope the soccer game went well and that you are enjoying the rest of your weekend off together.

HI Tracy
How did your weekend go?
Hope you had lots of fun & quality time :)
Hope the disney meeting goes well!!

Good morning WISH friends,

Thanks for stopping by! :goodvibes We did have a good weekend. It was quite restful which is exactly what we needed. The next few weeks looks like they will be crazy busy and we are trying to not get overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. So, here's an update:

Family: My DH's grandmother is in the hospital. She has a blood clot in her leg. They have her on blood thinners and on bed rest for awhile. She is in good spirits and calls this her "vacation". ;) While we were visiting her at the hospital yesterday, my BIL called to tell us that my DH's cousin is in the hospital and they don't know what's wrong with her. She and her DH just got back from Mexico and she has been very, very sick. :( I would appreciate your prayers and good thoughts for my DH's family.

Work: This week starts my DH's two full time jobs + OT for the next 3-4 weeks. We are trying to adjust our schedules to the best of our ability so that we can ensure that he gets enough sleep. Here is an example of his schedule:

T: Home at 8:15 a.m.; Sleep until 10:30 a.m. Work from 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., May go out to eat with his uncle, Sleep from 7:30- 10:30 p.m., Leave for work (11:00 p.m.-8:00 a.m.)

This will be his schedule for the next 3-4 weeks. He's working an hour of extra time Sunday-Thursday so he only has to go in for 4 hours on Friday night. That way, he can come home at 3:00 a.m., sleep, coach soccer in the morning, and deejay in the evening. Then, it's back to the grind on Sunday.
The extra job he is working will provide us with some excellent money. It is only temporary and needs to be completed by September 23. Whew! :faint: I think we are going to need a vacation. ;)

Vacation: Speaking of vacation, we did have our Disney meeting and it went well. Now, we have our budget firmly in place and an idea of what we want to do. Once the busyness is over, we'll work on scheduling.

September Goals: My two goals for September are:

1. 1200 minutes of exercise (155/1200)
2. No eating after 9:30 p.m. (2/4)

When my DH started working 3rd shift, I often tried to fill the void by eating.... even when I wasn't hungry. I often eat around 11:00 p.m. and eat a lot. :( I wake up the next morning feeling groggy, lethargic, and guilty. So, I decided that I am going to try adn break this habit this month and then work on other food goals in the months to come. :goodvibes

Well, friends... that's all for now. Thanks for all of your prayers, good thoughts, and support! :grouphug:

Hugs for you and your family, Tracy. You have SO much going on! I applaud you for still working on your own personal goals in the midst of all of the other stuff. :thumbsup2

Take care of you, so you can take care of the others. That's my motto!

Tracy-you guys have so much going on! You are doing great, even with everything going on around you..
i agree with kim (o man, did i just say i agree with her?!) Take care of you!!

Hope your DH's grandmother & cousin are doing well.
Your DH's schedule sounds grueling, i know i couldnt do it!!!
Look after each other.
Your goals sound good, i'm sure you will do it :)

:grouphug: You have so much going on!!! It really sounds like you've got a handle on it with your scheduling, exercise and food plan. Taking care of yourself (with exercise, healthy eating and sleep), will help you tackle through all your business!! I hope your dh's grandmother & cousin are okay. Best wishes for a great week!!! :sunny:

Thanks everyone for stopping by.... :grouphug:

Work went well yesterday, but we didn't complete as much of the project as we wanted to. I'm hoping we can make up some ground today.

My DH's grandma is doing okay. She is having an ultrasound done on her leg to see what is going on. The doctors think she will be in the hospital another 5 days. She's almost 85 years old and this is the first time she has been in the hospital since she had her two boys....

My DH's cousin is still in the hospital as well. They can't figure out what is wrong with her so they are doing a lot of tests. Please keep them both in your prayers. :grouphug:

September Goals:

1. Exercise: 215/1200

2. No eating after 9:30 p.m.: 3/5

With the new program I am using, weigh-in is on Sunday. Right now, I am at 210.4. I will also be taking my measurements as well.

I hope everyone has a great day today! I will try and get to journals this evening....

I am so glad you had a relaxing weekend. You have a really busy schedule for the next month! Good for you setting reasonable goals for September. :thumbsup2 You can do it!! :sunny:

Have a great rest of the week. :sunny:

I'm glad to see that you're taking measurements as well as weighing yourself. I have found that even when the scale doesn't move, my inches usually do. Your September goals sound great. Keep up the great work!!

Hello WISH buddies,

Today looks to be a more relaxing day for us... My DH is working on the real estate project by himself today so that I can spend some time with the girls. I'm taking them with me to get my haircut and then I'm going to surprise them with lunch out!

I added 105 minutes of exercise to my total yesterday: 320/1200 I did 45 minutes of cardio and weights and then did some walking, lifting, and extra physical labor at work that I don't usually do.

I am also doing okay with the eating challenge: 4/6 I did eat after 9:30 p.m., but it was dinner, I didn't overeat, and I had plenty of protein to balance out the carbs.

Today, I am getting a haircut, straightening up the house, homeschooling, doing soccer practice, and reading a book. Tomorrow, I think I will spend some time eBaying if my DH doesn't need me for the project.

Hope everyone has a great day! I will try and get to journals later on this evening.
