DD had to go to the dentist this morning and I remembered John mentining these little gems. Hey, this is my third child and I am NOT beneath bribery!!!!!;)
Anyway....we bought it and she had to go to school so I thought I would put it together for her sow hen she got home it would be all ready.
Well, I did but I also played with it all afternoon...that and the kitties....
I think i may have done some permanant damage to one of the kittiens.:jester:

I don't hear that very often. :)

I thought that ZipZaps would be a lot of fun around kitties. I'll bet they went absolutely crazy.

I'm glad that you enjoyed your (I mean your DD's) toy. I can't wait until James' birthday so he can open his.

Thats funny. We bought one for our oldest daughter for her birthday (15th) she loves it by the way. Well I had to have one also, so I bought a second "family" one. They are great. Our cat loves to chase the cars. We also bought a bunch of add on things. Took me 4 Radio Shacks to find them.

I want one! They are impossible to find. If you look on ebay they have kits and different things that will make them go faster, put new body kits on them, and change their tires. Very cool...bet the media will pick up on them soon.

What exactly are they? I like fun little cars. I'm always buying penny racers for the dog. :teeth:

I just happened to wander into a Radio Shack just as they got their shipment. I nearly bought the entire four cases of cars and all the accessories, but better judgement took hold and I only spend $85.

ZipZaps are tiny radio controlled cars that come with a variety of accessories that allow you to customize them. You can swap out the stock motor for a high performance version for speed or a lower performance motor for better handling. You can modify the suspension. You can change body styles, wheels, and tires. They have special toolkits, carrying cases, and even miniature orange cones and baracades so you can setup your own race course. The controller runs on two AAA batteries. You plug the car into the top of the controller for 45 seconds to charge up the internal NiMH battery. The charge lasts for around 10 minutes, give or take.

The basic car (complete with controller) costs $20. The customization kits are mostly prices at or below $10. I think that Radio Shack has a hit on their hands. Their only mistake was to not charge $25 or $30 for the basic car kit.

Well Towncrier, called my local radioshack and they were out of them. So I called my brother and sent him to our hometown radioshack and they had everything! He said they had half a dozen different kits and even carrying cases. He said they had the starter kits in the mustang, and two different color porsches. Which ones do you have? I'm gonna keep one and sell it on ebay closer to christmas :)

WHOA WHOA WHOA!
I went to the doctor's last week and sat in the hospital for 2 hours getting stuck with needles...all i got was yelled at for my test results...

I have a dentist appt on Thurs....WHAT AM I GONNA GET??
i am your oldest child and I am not beneath whining...

Make sure to pay attention to the controller frequency if you are planning to purchase two and run them at the same time. I picked up a Silver Porsche and a Dark Blue PT Cruiser.

I saw a real Porsche Turbo at lunch today. I don't suppose that I'll be owning one of those anytime soon. :earseek:

What they don't cost $20 as well?:p :)
