I am torn between renting a minivan for 1 day to travel from Sanford Airport, which seems to be about $70 dollars plus 2 car seats at $10 a piece (We are a family of 5). We will also be renting on the return trip to the airport for 1 day. Or taking a towncar service which is $200 total. We are going to BWV and will be needing to stop at the grocery store. We do not arrive until 9:30pm and my DW does not want to go to the store that late at night. So it seems the car rental is what she is leaning towards. Myself I would rather get it all done and have 1 late night but be done with it all. What do you people think?

I would do the towncar because my Dh and I hate having to navagate the area. You could also call a grocery service and have your food delivered.

DH insists on a towncar. We've used Mears for years. Never a problem.

We used GardenGrocer to deliver to our resort. The prices were similar to local grocer and they charge a modest $10 delivery fee. Of course we tipped. They even delivered special request items not listed on their site. Very pleasant to deal with. Depending on when you schedule delivery, your items can be there waiting for you behind the desk when you arrive.

Saves more time for Disney....we're all about that!

Your best bet is to hire a car service with 2 baby seats to pick you up in Sanford. They can also make a grocery stop on the way out of Sanford at the Walmart or Albertsons. Remember it takes a while to rent a car, depending on the agency, and a car service will be ready to load you once you get your bags. You could replace the time you use to rent a car to grocery shop for necessities. Once you get to Disney you will not feel like going grocery shopping, Do it before you arrive Disney. You will also save money over the grocery shopping services. The car service shouldn't cost you over $200.00 round trip. There are some services that will charge you more, but if you get to the right web sites you will find a services at or below $200.00. The best thing about it is they will know how to get there, compared to your group which probably has not been around here.

You don't want a towncar with your group. You need an SUV or Van.

I had thought about using a grocery service but had never done it before. I am always hesitant as everyone is about using something for the 1st time. I will look into gardengrocer.com and maybe that will work.

I loved gardengrocer. I am using them for the third time this Jan. :wizard:

I looked at Gardengrocery and the prices look a little high compared to home but I guess that is to be expected.
