Tower of Terror

My sis & I rode ToT for the first time 2 years ago (our 1 trip with no kids!!) and loved it even though it scared the crap out of me!!!! I love roller coasters and will ride any of them. My sister on the other hand does not! She gets sick on anything (except Mission: Space :confused3 ). But anyway, she loved ToT too. We think maybe because you're not moving forward when you drop (like on a coaster) it doesn't give you the same feeling. But my neice who is now 7 wants to ride it soooo bad that she cried when she wasn't big enough at age 5. When we met Milo Thatch, she told him how bad she wanted to ride it, but she was too short. So he told her that when she is big enough to come back and he will ride it with her. I pray that Milo is not there when we go in March, because she will throw a fit if he's there and doesn't keep his promise!!!! I'm trying to work up the nerve to take her on, but since the lap bars are gone now, I just don't know if I can do it :scared1: !!!
After we braved Tot, we got in line for RnRC, but it was having "technical difficulties" so we got a fast pass and went around the park. We came back and it was running again, but as soon as we got in line, closed again!! I told my sis that maybe it was a sign from above that we should just pass!!! So we both chickend out and gave our fastpasses to someone else!! :goodvibes
We're gonna try to work up the nerve for this trip since my neice is big enough for RnRC now.

I avoided the TOT for many years although my DS wanted to try it. Finally in 2002 I decided to see what it was all about. I can now tell everyone that, without a doubt, the Tower of Terror is my favorite ride of all time. The drop sequences are super and the theming is incredible, both inside and outside. One of the Travel Channel programs about WDW said that the TOT is the only elevator in the world where the car moves out of the original shaft into the drop shaft. The show once you get inside the elevator is amazing and very well done. I love to watch the newbies ride as they don't know that the car is going to move forward and into the drop shaft.
I am proud to report that on our trip this past June we rode the TOT 24 times! Would have been more if we didn't have to get back to the airport.
There are any number of rides that can take you up and drop you. But there is nothing that comes close to the Tower of Terror in giving you a complete show from start to finish.
