Tower of Terror

Congrats on your courage to ride ToT. I agree with those who say that RnR should be easy after that. It's a great ride and lots of fun, but if you can't stand it, it's over pretty quickly.

ToT is my favorite ride!! If I lived in Orlando, I would get an AP just so I could ride ToT after work every day! Can't wait to get back down there to ride it again. It has been 10 years!!! :hyper:

Congratulations on conquering your fear :cheer2:
When I went in 1996, I was scared to death, but agreed to try it with my new DH. I loved it then and now, although I still lose my stomach everytime.

RnR however is one of my absolute favorites. It's fast and loopy, there's no big hill, just plain fun!

My DD was 11 when we took her on her first trip in 2002 and she tried them both...and loved them, especially RnR. We told her if she hated it she would never have to ride again, but she tried and that's what was important. Now she's a coaster enthusiast like me and DH

I have lost 200 pounds in the last two years...and I could ride next to nothing on my first trip in 2000...so when I went in March of 2005...I RODE EVERYTHING...including Space Mountain---which I hate. I love ToT and will do it again...same for RNR.

Do It!! You'll be so proud of yourself!! And definitely buy the pics...LOL.

Good for you!

TOT is my Mother's favorite ride. She had us ride it five times this trip. It was the first ride we rode and the last ride we hit before leaving!

Got to try things once at least. Glad to hear you enjoyed it. :wizard:

Now if I can only conquer the Rock'n Roller coaster...
Come on you can do it! You just have to get past the take off that's the worst or best part depending how you look at it. After that it's a piece of cake! If you did ToT you can definitely do RnRC!

ToT is great, possibly my favorite ride in WDW. We rode three times while we were there last July! The first time was hysterical b/c it was my BF's first time and the pic they take was so funny...he was sitting on the end next to the cage and was grabbing onto it for dear life...

Now RnR is another story alltogether. My BF had to BEG me to go on it b/c I was nervous...long story short I ended up LOVING it!!! But ToT is still my fav :teeth:

I agree totally...TOT is one of the best rides in MGM. My husband and I actually got off and on it 10 times in a row...

(mind you there was 0 crowds at the time)

I also like the GMR

Great movie ride.....

These things are what makes Disney Special....

Try it once...if it doesnt make you throw up or pass out...then you might be pleasantly surprised...go for it...

Glad you made the jump...or should I say fall.....

Guests check in...but they don't check out.......

I tried TOT on my last trip and loved it. Didn't want to do it again right away -- once a day is enough for me. But, I did love it.

Dh is a huge Twilight Zone fan and I wanted him to do it but he was too chicken. I tried many times to talk him into it and he wouldn't budge. Well, two months ago my 5 (almost 6) yr. old ds wanted to do ToT. I did it with my ds and he loved it. Wanted to do it again! So, dh said that he would go with ds! I was shocked. Dh said the reason was because he couldn't go home and have 5y.o. ds say that he did ToT but his dad was too chicken. When they got off of the ride dh said that he really liked it! And here we are at WDW again this month and dh did ToT a couple of times.

I, however, do not like RnR. I did it for the first time a few days ago and it made me dizzy. I do get motion sickness so there are a few rides I can't do. RnR is one of them. I do love that feeling at the beginning of it though! My just turned 6y.o. ds rode it for the first time and he loved it and his dad did it several times with him.

Well, I'm also a big chicken but I allowed myself to be talked into the TOT a couple of years ago. The prize? A Mickey ice-cream bar.

I did it and got my ice-cream bar.

Will I do it again?

HECK NO!!

It was just as scary as I expected/feared it would be and that's not my idea of fun. :scared:

I don't like adrenaline rushes! :scared1:

That was some awesome ice-cream, though. :goodvibes

ToT is my favorite ride. We went in June 2004 and I can't wait for June 2006 to ride again.

I haven't conquered RNR yet but now I know it doesn't have big hills so that makes me more brave.

I'm not sure WHY we went on it the first time, but I didn't think it was bad. I didn't LOVE it, but it wasn't bad. The next trip I was kind of looking forward to it, and I am looking forward to going again this summer. DS9 HATED it the first time, then insisted on going again. He still hated it. I think I will make him sit it out next time because he REALLY doesn't enjoy anything about it!

I haven't done RnRC because I have a bad back. DS and DH rode it and DS was absolutely speechless for about 20 minutes afterward. Not sure if I will let him go on again, and not sure he would want to! :teeth:

The little girl singing 'it's raining it's pouring...' always freaks me out!!!

HA, I LOVE IT!

Yeah no big hills and if you can do ToT RnR should be a walk in the park. Just remember to breathe. The take off takes you breath away and if you continue to hold it, well, don't. lol. As long as I remember to breathe, I have soooooooooo much fun. I can ride RnR over and over.

I went to Disney for the first time last summer with my husband. As we did most of the orlando parks I had already had to convince him to go on coasters etc with me at IOA, Busch and univeral. Hes a real chicken so I kinda didnt bother him with TOT. I didnt want to ride myself so I gave it a miss. This year however we are only doing Disney so Hes coming on! there is very little to scare him within the disney parks so he can do it for me LOL. im really looking forward to it! He did go on RnR and loved that but refused Mission space so this year we are conquering Tower of Terror...cant wait to see what its all about! :cool1:

Love, love, love this ride! :worship: I'm glad you gave it a try and ended up enjoying it as well.
