Welcome to the DIS and when you get here, welcome to the States.
TOT is lots of fun. We took my DF on it, he was 70 at the time and his reaction was he couldnt tell if he was going up or going down. It doesnt give you a wierd feeling like you think it would. Ride it at least twice so you can enjoy everything that leads up to the drops. You feel like your stuck in the middle of a Twilight Zone episode.
Have Fun!!

i'm glad that i am going when it opens again :)
i didn't know every ride is different thats a really good tip.
Its good to know you all managed to drag all your friends and relatives on the ride i will bare that in mind when i convince my mum 2 go on it lol:hyper:

I'll add to the chorus about TOT - it's my favorite ride at WDW. I'm not big on really rough rides (I've got no interest in the Superman roller coaster at Six Flags New England, which is about an hour from my home, for example), but the storyline and effects of TOT make it great, along with the drops. On my last visit I rode it and got right back on to ride it again. :)

I love this ride. I to laugh the whole time, I can't help it. I once met some people in line, in front of me was a young couple and behind me was a family from Miami that talked mom into going on it, she was not thrilled. We ended up being a party of 7 cause we all wanted to ride with the mom. She screamed so bad during the whole ride, I couldn't help but laugh. She had fast passes to go again but with a few choice words (i wouldn't dare repeat here) she gave them away. I much preferred the lap bar though, it was something to hold onto, I don't like the belts and have only gone on it once since they made the change.

lol yeah my mum is like that and she just makes me laugh when she goes on big rides, i'm slowly persuading her now.and i've only got 2 dayz to do so lol:Pinkbounc

TOT is one of our family's favorite rides. We went on it probably 10x on our last trip, and now that our 4 y/o thrill seeker son is joining us, I'm sure he'll just love it too.

Can't wait !!!

We had really avoided ToT on our previous visits. But, when we were there in August, decided that it was a 'must do'. My dh, myself and dd, 9, rode it and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be!! I think the drop in Splash Mt. is far worse. I was so concerned about my dd's reaction to the whole thing that I didn't pay as much attention to the attraction as I should have. Even she said she would be doing it again on our next trip.
