Has anyone stayed at Saratoga Springs for a Run Disney event? If so, do you remember where the buses for the race events picked up and dropped off? Thanks!

I stayed at SSR for the last ToT race. The buses picked you up just outside the Community Hall. The one downside to staying there is that when you come back from the race, the resort buses are no longer running and you may have a long walk in store to get back to your room. I lucked out and was able to flag down a guy on a golf cart to drive me back to the Congress Park bus stop and walked the rest of the way to my room from there.

Cool, thanks for the info! I think I'm going to try to request a section not too far from there, understanding it's not a guarantee. At least that way it won't be too bad of a walk if I get my request.

I'm registered! I was having a hard time deciding if I should or not, but I knew I'd regret it if I decided to do it and it was already sold out. I'm going to try really hard to make this a family trip as DD has been begging me to go to MNSSHP for years. If not, I'll be going solo. We're in VT so it's pretty pricey to get just me down there, let alone all 4 or 5 of us!

I did the 5k 3 yrs ago, there were tons of adults without children doing it!

Just signed up for 10miler, and am trying to decide if I want to spend the extra $$ for the 5k.

To add to my earlier frustrations... Now the check my registration link they have is showing me as not registered but two of my friends did and the other did not. And runDisney registration number isn't answering.

I'm trying to decide if we would be better off to do the discount on room and tickets or (if it comes out) if free dining would be a better deal for us, and I can't call until late this afternoon to get prices so would really like to know the price of the tickets.

I also was not able to get into the ticket portal, but I have some helpful info. I called to book my room and they had BC! (just a standard room, I didn't try villas). They were only letting him book 4 nights with the discount and I wanted 5, so he put in a request for the 5th night through rundisney

So now onto tickets, he said that their portal was not up yet. So I don't think its just us, which is the good news. The bad news is you cannot check the prices yet and it sounds like he cannot either. He did say it would probably be around 30% off (it also said this under the travel information tab on rundisney's website). So for a rough estimate, you can try taking whatever ticket you want at gate price - 30%.

I do remember during wine and dine they had some sizeable discounts. I think the room discount is somewhere around what AP rates are. Last time only CB was left by the time I registered and it was maybe $10 cheaper than the rate I could get via AP.

We are a family of 4, myself, DH and DD11 & DD8 (at time of trip). I orginally booked POR for 5 nights (Oct 1-6) and 5 day ticket with PH. The trip was initally quoted and reserved at $2800.

I called with the run disney code today and received a quote of $1925 for the exact same options. I do not have the break down of room vs. tickets but someone posted on FB that their quote for a POR room was $161.

This is a substansial discount, just under $1000. I don't think we would have done better waiting to see if FD was released.

Nice, so it sounds like the ticket portals are opening up! I estimated my ticket prices and it sounds like rundisney will save me $500 on those alone.

Here is my problem:

Alright, I need help. I am very frustrated. Did anyone else book a package by calling the wdw-irun number. He told me I could go to my disney experience to see everything.

Well, nothing but my hotel is there so I called to get some help. They told me we would not have access to our ticket information until 72 hours before the race due to this being a race package. Because of this, we cannot book any FP+ until 72 hours before we arrive. Also, I cannot see my prices and the only way I can pay is by calling the event phone number.

Is this true?

I was able to get into the ticket portal earlier today. I had to use all caps for the code.

Are you able to go to mydisneyexperience.com and actually see your tickets linked to your hotel package?

I called and booked with the IRun phone number (spoke to someone). He booked the "running package" which was the discounted room and tickets.

He then told me I could go onto the disney site in an hour and see the hotel and ticket information, select my magic band colors, eventually book FP+ and pay my bill.

All the site does it let me see my hotel...I cannot even see if my package price is correct.

We are a group of 5 with 4 adults so the dining is pretty substantial savings. I am thinking though that I'm going to pull my oldest daughter from the reservation I have now and let her make the RUN disney hotel reservation and then wait and see.

I am estimating on numbers given to me from you guys and my FB group. I haven't called, but free dining will save me $1,100, and the RunDisney rate would save me about the same $1,100, but dining wouldn't be included. So if I am figuring correctly...It's been a crazy day and I need to concentrate in the morning and rerun numbers, we could save $1,000 from our Free Dining rate with the RunDisney package. However, we'd have to pay for our food the entire time. Sooooo....I started today adding in what restaurants we would go to and how much that would cost per reservation to see if we would spend $1,000 on food or would we spend less. I really like the convenience of the dining plan, but I'm all for saving money...
