We just checked into the poly our home resort.
Anyways I was unpacking and realized that that trunk like table in front of the couch no longer opens.
So now there’s very little storage place for clothes. There’s the closet and 2 small drawers in the bathroom. Really no place for t shirts and other things like that.

Also now did watching the fireworks fromBLT not just for DVC any longer.
There were areas roped off. My DH has issues with his knees and can’t stand long he always would sit in the chairs in the back but tonight it was blocked off a CM heard my DH day he’d meet me inside a CM opened up the ropes and let us in

It seems you have to be a resveration type deal mow
This was such a fun perk for having DVC now it doesn’t seem so petsonal
When did this change. You don’t even have to show your DVC card anymore just curious

I’m a little confused. DVC has a reservation based system now for fireworks viewing at BLT but you are saying now it’s not just for DVC it’s for anyone?

This change for fireworks is fairly new in terms of reservations.

But, this is the first report I have read that the DVC card was not checked.

You do need a reservation (it's free) if you want to park at BLT, this is new as of a few weeks ago.

But they still take walk-ups for folks who ride the monorail over, etc.

Eligibility for TOTWL has changed a lot over the years. It was reported on here that as of some time last year they were verifying DVC status for everyone at the TOTWL - including those who just wanted to use the terrace. It would be a shame if they went back on that.

We left yesterday our trunk opened this trip but not last. I used it for our travel backpacks. Even with it the storage is ridiculous in the longhouse studios. I had my clothes in 3 different places. I still love staying there, but seriously they need dressers

for sur on the storage. The trunk was great storage.
We have some clothes just draped over the chairs. Even shelves in the woukld help
Seems we have more storage on the ships then here.
The one that used to be a nice long dresser is now a bed. Plus either the pull out sofa or Murphy bed so getting the dresser back would be good

Poly has always lacked storage and in our opinions the 1 bedroom didn’t improve on that much with having to leave the master to get to the closet. Sure they have a small wardrobe in the bedroom but that’s not the same.

When we watched fireworks at the contemporary they scanned my band to validate my dvc. And one side of the viewing area was reserved but the other side was available for walk up.

This is one of the few DVC trends that grinds my gears. But, I recognize that I'm probably not the "typical" DVC owner, because I don't enjoy stays when I am maxing out the sleeping capacity of the rooms. I'd rather have larger/more rooms booked.
