Tower of Terror 10 Miler 2014

Anyone know what this means, from the course description? "Elevating the fun even more this year are a series of four gentle slopes dotting the course, and timing mats that let your friends and family track your progress."
The course description sounds the same in years past, but it's odd that they say that the gentle slopes elevate the fun more this year.

Did they recently add this to the course description cause I never noticed it before.I have no idea what the four gentle slopes mean?

Does anyone know if new balance will be selling the disney running shoes? The run disney new balance page leads me to believe they do for all races but they haven't updated since the last princess in February. We have our heart set on snagging one!

Bet the slopes are describing the overpasses on the course.

But that wouldn't be elevating the fun THIS year since we also had fun in them last year!!LoL!It however wouldn't surprise me if that's what they're talking about,I guarantee you there's still some runners trying to figure out what the mile 20 spectacular was for the 2013 marathon.

They usually sell them at ToT but be forewarned they tend to sell or of the more popular sizes so plan to be there at expo opening the first day.

At PHM you had to pre reserve a time to go into the shop to buy them. They sent out the link a few weeks before I think

I hope that they do

I just read the program guide from last year and it had this same description,so the overpasses must be the slopes, nothing new to run on.

I understand theyRe limited but they started something new so you could put your name on the queue and arrive for your time slot. The site wasn't updated for Everest run so I'm worried thinking they might not do it for tot.

They didn't do it for Everest because Everest is the smallest of the expos. I can't remember if they had them for sale but they were on display

Hey! So excited to be running the race for the first time! Three questions k wanted to ask. First I was looking at buying park tix thru run disney and shocked how much cheaper! By a lot! Is this normally done? I've ran the marathon past two years and do t remember seeing this discount. Don't tell me I missed it all these times! Second, is after party worth it? My dh and 6 year old DS cd go but not sure. Third , bc of marathon, I'm used to expo on thurs which is what I planned for but now see it's only fr/sat which cuts into my park plans! Is there any way to get bibs earlier? I hate to take park time away for that when I have no interest in buying anything. Ok four qs can I still pick up for someone else ? Bc if I am stuck going on a park day I want to get my friends for him bc this is his first disney trip with his son and I don't want him to miss park time. Thanks!

Will there be buses from Coronado springs to expo and to race? Also for non runners can you see finish line?

Has anyone done race who staged at Coronado springs? Any recommendations on best way to get there wd be appreciated. Also after race, will they have buses to all resorts or only host resorts?

1. Park ticket discounts seem to come and go.

2. If your family enjoys Hollywood Studios it is definitly worth it. They will get about an hour of no crowds then a couple hours of moderate crowds and then the last bit is a little crowded but still manageable.

3. They don't usually allow early pick up. You could try calling track shack to see if they can help you out.

4. Yes for ToT you can still pick up for someone else but this is the last year for that.

No none runners can not see the finish line. To see you in about the last half mile they will need party tickets.

There is a pretty small area for spectators by the finish line, the spectators can reach this area by going past RnRc,they will need party tickets.

I noticed the same thing for W&D. Wow!

Is CSR a host resort? Look on rundisney for the TOT, find the runners/plan area to see.

If you have a party ticket and can manage to find your way back there, non-runners can see the finish. There are bleachers set up and everything.

You just have to know how to get back there, and not encounter CMs who lie and say that there's no way to do it. Those are the CMs DH and DS encountered during the party, but they persisted and got back there.

Then didn't see me finish and I didn't see them (b/c I wasn't expecting them there!, and because I ended up sandwiching myself between two taller runners on the opposite side as the bleachers). So we met up where we said we would meet up. (and they had party tickets)

Thanks so much for all of the answers! So I'm not at a host resort so for runners we are to take a tack to wows correct? What do non runners do and when can they go to the party? Ie when does it start? Thanks again!!!
