DH and I really enjoyed the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at MK. Can anyone tell me about the tours that are available through DL?

Considering:

Walking in Walt's Footsteps
Discover the Magic
Welcome to Disneyland
Happy Haunts (we will be there in mid October)

Thanks!

We were also considering the Welcome to Disneyland tour for our first morning. We do have a son, and the people I talked to at Disneyland, said the tour was "very kid friendly." Can anyone else tell me more? Is it worth it? I thought it might be a nice introduction to the park.

Don't want to hijack your thread but since it's about tours I was wondering if anyone has ever been on the Holiday Time at Disneyland tour?

Yes, we have done the holiday tour. It was great fun! We very much enjoyed it, and the free fudge samples and the cookie and hot chocolate. :) The parade seating was great, as was walking onto Small World & HMH. :) I highly recommend it.

I gave never done tour and am looking at doing one. We will be there in Dec/Jan timeframe. Will the holiday still be available? If you had to choose between the welcome tour, walk in walt'z steps, or holiday tour which would you recommend doing?

If you have never done a tour at Disneyland, and you know the parks fairly well (either WDW or DL), then I would recommend the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour. That is my favorite.

If you have never been to a Disney park, then I would recommend the Welcome to DL tour or the Holiday Tour, as both of those are nice. The Welcome to DL tour will give you some details about the park, though, that the Holiday Tour won't give.

We have done

Discover the magic- scavenger hunt for kids

Happiest Haunts- Fun for everyone
Got to walk on Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror and Space Mountain

Holiday Tour- fun for everyone..best perk is that at the end of the tour you get chairs to sit in front of small world to watch the Christmas parade

Segway Tour (2007) not sure if this is still coming back but it was the best tour ever!!

The holiday tour runs during the holiday season, if you will be there during that time frame you will be able to do the holiday tour. Be aware it books quickly so you might want to book in advance.

I want to do the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, I wanted to do it with DD when we were there last but we ran out of time.

Has anyone ever done the walk in walt's foot steps tour?

I've done the
Segway - last time I talked to them (last month) they were still evaluating whether or not they would do this. With early entry happening at DCA, I can understand now why they haven't made that decision yet. They can only do it when the park is closed.

Walk in Walt's Footsteps - I've done this tour twice - once in 2000, and once a couple of years ago. I love that they use his voice during the tour. My understanding is that they are going to revamp it beginning this Fall, and so I will go on it again to see what it has :)

Holiday Tour - I did this a long time ago. In fact, that is where I actually met Califgirl. :goodvibes It was a fun tour, and I did enjoy watching the parade from our own vantage point with our treats.

Happy Haunts - I took this tour the first year it came out, and am sure it has changed since then.

Discover the Magic - Almost did this tour, until my nephews decided 10 minutes into the tour that they wanted nothing to do with it :scared1:

Cultivating the Magic - I went on the first tour this year. It was an interesting tour, and I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't recommend it as a first.

They are planning on modifying their tours, and imagineering some new ones. I can hardly wait. :cool1:

Beyond wonderful. While I enjoyed the Halloween tour, I very much LOVED the Christmas one. I would do this one over and over.
