They are now 10s and 9s only. I don't think I have ever been during such a crowded time. Anyone have suggestions? :scared1:

Last April, our dates for Easter week were 6-8 for the week (I should've known it was too good to be true...) and a month or two beforehand they bumped them to 9 and 10. Of course we still went and with planning on good/bad days, knowing a good park to switch to if the one we chose got too mobbed, going early, relaxing poolside mid-day and returning late, we actually had a wonderful time. We did rides repeatedly-- some with FR's and some with short or long waits. I will say that my family has a great attitude about making it all into a positive experience be it rain, crowds, tornado warnings... and that helps. Have plans, be ready to scrap them also and hope for the best and expect the worst. It will be wall to wall people somewhere, sometime, but not all the time. Enjoy !!

We will be arrive on the Mar 27th and leave on Apr 3rd and I just went to check on crowd levels after reading your post. Our dates have gone from 7 to 9s and 10s...:scared1:

What I don't get is if it is suppose to be as high as Christmas, why are there openings for all the values and several ADR's available? When we go within the first two weeks of Dec, even reserving six months or so in advance there are no openings at values except for like ASMu (which there is nothing wrong with ASMu, guess it is just not as popular as ASMo and POP).

I am starting to panic, lol. We are staying off-property because we have seven nights free stay and I worry about getting in to the parks. We are planning on being there first thing in the mornings, so hopefully we will be okay and so will you!:flower3:

Ours have changed too. They changed from 5's, 6's, and 7's to 8878758. At least we still have one 5 day.

I found this

Level Magic Kingdom
1 14 mins. or less
2 15 - 24 mins.
3 25 - 34 mins.
4 35 - 44 mins.
5 45 - 54 mins.
6 55 - 64 mins.
7 65 - 74 mins.
8 75 - 84 mins.
9 85 - 94 mins.
10 95 mins. or more

Which makes me feel a bit better I was thinking three plus hour waits and I am not even talking about the major rides.

Ahhh!!! I think you and I must be going the same week. Now I'm freaking out a little (okay, a LOT)! :scared1:

The UG site will frequently change crowd predictions as special deals are announced, special events are scheduled, etc. There's another thred on here that Oct. and Nov. was now all 10s - but now it's back to 4s and 5s. Just keep checking back - they may go back down again.

We must be going the exact same time looking at our tickers:goodvibes

Thanks Glencora, I think you are right on the money.:thumbsup2

I just looked at what Touringplans had for my dates and was a little surprised by the numbers really.

what is with the spike on June 1st though. June 1 is much higher than May 31. That seems questionable to me.

We are also staying off site for almost exactly the same dates as you. I'll waive to you in the long lines. ;) My plan right now is just to do rope drop and see how much we can get done in the mornings and just take it easy in the afternoon.

I don't think they'll come down in the next couple of weeks. Spring break looks really bad (crowd wise) this year.

My worry is that if we leave the parks in the afternoon, we will not be able to get back in!

We plan on being there for rope drop too, but we won't be heading to the supercool rides aka rollercoasters and such and we plan on using fastpasses for the first time.:thumbsup2

Don't fret. We've been during Easter week and while the crowds are high we always have the best time because the weather is fantastic. I much prefer the higher crowds in the spring than the summer. :headache:

We normally go during the first two weeks of December, so we are used to light crowds and decent weather.:goodvibes

However, we are excited about this trip too.

We did go April of 2001 and the crowds were not bad at all...that was a long time ago though...:rotfl:

Yes, that worries me too. We do some rollercoasters (at least DH and the girls do), but the ride that really worries me is Toy Story. Our original plan was to go to DS in the morning and do Toy Story, Star Tours and Muppets before hopping to AK. Now I am not sure that hopping will even be possible.

Choose the detailed touring plan given on that site that fits your family, and then follow it! We did this over the 4th of July, and it worked great! We were able to get a lot of rides done with little or no wait.

Part of the change may be due to Disney lifting blackout dates for Easter. People may be taking advantage of last minutes trips with discounts/gift card offers since some schools are closed. Just go with the knowledge that you may have to wait in long lines for some of the big attractions and you will be fine.

I think that the higher numbers are closer-just came back on Tue. We thought it was busier than the numbers given. Was much busier than past years at this time-we go every year these dates for DS b-day

I think you are probably right. I am not doubting that the numbers are correct. I was just hoping for some coping strategies for extremely busy days.

I will be there too! If you all are driving, we may pass each other on 95! Have a safe trip!
I've been before for Spring Break, just pick the main things you want to do and then whatever else you get done will be a bonus. Hopefully the weather will be great. I'm ready to go! Only two more weeks!:cool1::banana::yay:

Crowd predictions can change also based on hotel occupancy, and there are many deals out there! Stick to a touring plan for the first few hours and you should be able to do all major attractions with out waiting too long. I have found that the touring plans work great, also try ridemax for a more detailed plan. The nice thing about ridemax is you can put the same attraction in multiple times versus tp's.
