We are going only to the side WITHOUT harry Potter, and only have one day. What should I add/take away/? Ideas? Order? All thrill seekers, but my youngest can't do Rip Ride.

Definite:
Rip Ride (I will wait with my little one)
Mummy
Jaws
Disaster
Twister
Shrek

If time:
MIB
ET
Simps

If it were me...I would switch out Twister and Disaster for MIB and The Simpsons. Of course your little one will want to do ET and possibly Jimmy Neutron. Other than that you've covered the major attractions.

My thoughts are if you are only going to Universal and not IoA, you should be able to do everything you listed above and possibly more provided you arrive when the gates open.

So you think those two aren't "worth it"?
They are both attractions that people like...they are not my personal favorites and if you wanted to do them by all means...go for it. I just like The Simpsons and MIB better. It's a personal choice.

I agree that MiB and Simpsons are better rides than Twister and Disaster. In fact, MiB is my favorite at the old universal. If your family enjoys Buzz, then you definately don't want to miss MiB as it's similar type of ride, but much better due to the interaction with guests on the side by side track, and greater mobility of the guns. The Simpsons is also an extremly fun and funny simulator. If your family likes to watch the simpsons every Sunday, this should not be missed.

As for order of doing things, I usually like to head to the back of the park at opening and ride the mummy a couple times, then start going in a clockwise fashion, ski[pping Disaster, but hitting Jaws, MiB, Simpsons, ET, trying to work in Animal Actors, T23D, HRRR, Shrek, Twister.

I'm not a Uni expert like the others here, just a common tourist who LOVES Universal, and can't go that often! IMHO I would make sure and do Mummy, MIB, Simpsons, ET, Shrek & Neutron. We loved the Mummy and MIB. Mummy gets crowded, so hit it first and several times in a row if possible. MIB usually isn't as bad. However my son loved it so much we hit the single rider lane repeatedly and got right on each time. We also found the single rider lane better for us later in the day too, when the crowds were heavy, as we didn't have FOTL or express passes. Not sure that's an option for your group, but something to consider if you find that you love it as much as we did!
