I read about this site while looking at DisneyDollarLess.com.

Apparently Mike is a former WDW VIP Tour guide and so knows the World inside out. There are lots of good reviews about his guide, which can be downloaded for about £11. It's suggested that it's particularly usefull for getting planning advice and tips for the busier times, such as the week after Chrimbo when we are in town.

I'm probably gonna risk it for a biscuit at that price, but I'm just wondering if anybody has bought the guide already and can tell me what they think before I order.

Thanks.

I don't know the site too well, but I listen to the radio station on Live 365 whilst I'm browsing. He plays some great park tunes etc, even the actual voice over from the monorail.

Close your eyes and you're there ;)

Have bought Tourguidemike's guide. Loads of info for the money, esp avoiding lines and making best use of time, also lots of pics and info about resorts etc. Haven't put his plans into practice yet, as not returning till Aug. He has inspired me, though, to go in week after Christmas 2004 so if you do buy the guide I would be very interested to hear if you think it works well.

Bumperoony.....

I really must get out more...

PS and I have been numerous times also.

I've just signed up. I've only been able to look at a tiny percentage of the available information as yet, but I like what I see so far. As I expected, there is quite a bit of content which isn't particularly useful to me. It very much assumes that you're a WDW novice for a start and, like most of the guidebooks, adopts a touring strategy based on spending an entire day at Disney - arrive before park opening, mid-afternoon break and back until park closing. We tend to do either mornings into afternoon and then leave, or afternoons into evenings. Some of the information is a bit scant - for example the advice for securing an IllumiNations cruise is poor compared with that available on the DIS.

However, I've already found a few little gems which I've never come across before - not even here on the DIS! As Beejayjay says, Mike's a former WDW VIP Tour Guide and, whilst most of what he covers isn't unique, there's definitely a slightly different take on a few things.

I've been absolutely glued to the shows and parades strategies which provide tips on both 'when' and 'where'. And my printer must be nearly out of ink! This information alone is worth $18.95 (£10ish) to me.
