Does anyone else find the site to be a bit confusing? Where is the best help?

I would also recommend going all the way through your Express Planner once from start to finish without clicking on any other articles or links. The thing that seems to cause a lot of people confusion is that there is just so much information. Going all the way through the express planner helps you get the "Big Picture" and gives a solid foundation of information. Then go back and click away at side articles or related links to your heart's content.

The site is a little confusing, but if you take the time to click through, there is some really awesome information in there.

Mike's site can be a bit confusing for newbies. Here's some help:

1. After you sign on, a page will open that says My Months Express Planner.

2. Click on your month, if it is available, if not click on another month for this exercise.

3. When the next page opens, you'll see some starred items. Go down to the usually 4th star or where it says
whatever your month is Least Crowded Parks Per Day of the Week: there are 2 sections highlighted 1 for the first part of the month and 1 for the secon part, click on whichever you need.

4.When that opens, scroll down until you see the dates for your trip.

5. Each day will have a recommended park, then the next best and so on.

6. After you've figured out your days, look in the left hand column and you'll see Planning Step 6: My Park Touring

7. Click on each park for recommended touring strategies. They do work.

I hope this helps.

TGM with great information? Really? The number of folks that come on here to complain about TGM would make me wonder.

I love TGM!!! I lurked on the DIS about 4 months and read tons, but TGM is where I got the big picture. To get all the info that I got on TGM I would have to search, post and take notes to get that info here on the DIS. Don't get me wrong, love my DIS, but I love TGM too.

I go to the DIS for new info and rumors. You also can not beat the talented geniuses on the DISign Board!!! If I have a question, I know I usually can post it here and get instant gratification:goodvibes. There are great photo threads of resorts and food....I could go on and on.

However, I love Mikes phillosophy and his touring tips!!! I sometimes get confused on the DIS because of all the different opinions. I need clear direction, maybe it is my Mommy mind:lmao:

I also am a huge fan of the vacation club forums, this is where only people who are going the same month as you can post...I love my peeps there!!! It is fun to go through the planning with others who are doing the same at the same exact time as you.

Well I could go on an on, for me $20 to invest is nothing compared how much I am spending on my trips. To me knowledge=power. Then again I am thinking of adding Ridemax to my planning repitoire. I love Disney and to obsess over my planning.

Well there are worse things in life;)

TGM with great information? Really? The number of folks that come on here to complain about TGM would make me wonder.

I'd venture to say that most of those complaints are not in reference to the great info on TGM, but rather the difficulty some have in navigating the site, the very few things that may not be updated yet and the sometimes slow customer service.

The majority of complaint threads I see here have mostly been proven to be invalid complaints. Such as someone saying that Mike made her miss her ADR window when it hadn't even arrived yet or someone saying there was no TSM info- although it is actually there and has been for some time.

Posting on TGM forums for help with TGM is the simplest, least confrontational way to get help with TGM.

I've never had a problem with TGM. We had gone for years before Mike and Disney World was a very tiring vacation. After using Tour Guide Mike, we experienced such short waits and did so much more in much less time, my husband said he would not go to Disney World unless I planned to use TGM. Relaxing trips are so much nicer than rushed, anxiety producing trips.

I signed up for it, had it about a month or so..rarely logged on. My trip isn't until Oct. so I cancelled and got a refund. For the money i felt it wasn't worth it for me. I have been numerous times and the information here and other sites and the information i know from expirence is just as good if not better. i think for a newbie it might be beneficial.
