As someone who craves as much Disney info as possible I was considering it. So I wanted to hear from the other obsessive planners out there. Have you used tour guide mike? Was it helpful, worth it? Thanks.

Here's what I got from it....

1. hours and hours of navigating a really confusing website. There was almost TOO much information. I personally didn't find it organized well.

2. helpful information about how to get that really hard Cinderella Breakfast reservation.

3. how to plan for special events, like MVMCP (we attended the sold out last night in Dec 2005).

4. what parks to avoid during the week.

5. a forum (similar to DIS) to ask for tips and post trip reports.

For me it was mostly a positive experience.

boy, you stepped in it here.

LET THE DEBATES BEGIN!!!!!

My thoughts on this subject are, there are tons of guides and info out the for free. Deb Willis site gives everything from sizes to price for just the asking, its free. The disney video gives dining places and other park info so why would one want to spend money for information and guidance that out there either by guides or on the net or thses boards. I've been to WDW over 30 times, and for my family and others who ask my help or guidance we do pretty well. Heck, send me money and I'll give you a trip and iternary on what to do and see. Read the books on WDW, check out the unoffical disney web sites and read the disney boards, its all free, make up your mind to suit your family and way of vacationing and there's always another trip in the future to see the rest or do over what "you" like best. My personal views only!

In a word...NO.

If you are smart enough, you can spend a few weekends online and garner the information you need to make educated decisions about your trip.

I invested in TGM and won't again. :rolleyes2

I guess it depends how you define "worth it".

We've used TGM twice and had two amazing trips. So for us it was worth it.

TGM offers a money back guarantee, so if you don't think your getting your money's worth (look for the discount link on themouseforless.com) you can get a refund.

I used TGM for our last trip, which was last year. Now unlike others, we have not been 20-30 times, we've only been 5 times and not in a row. I found the information very helpful, especially since we go during the summer when the parks are the most crowded.

If you are going to order it, I would get it in plenty of time before your trip. Like someone else said, the site can be a little confusing to navigate, so it can take some time to get use to. But if you are a planning/information junkie like me... you will love it! I don't remember how much I paid for it, but it didn't seem like that big of an investment for what I received.

I'm not sure that it was worth it for me. I am not a person who is comfortable with a humongous web site, so I found it a bit overwhelming. There is a lot of information. I did think that the forum was friendly and helpful the few times I went there for help. I liked the UG becuase it was easier for me.

If I was going during a busy season, I think I would have made more effort navigating his site. I gathered information and added it to what I got from the UG. You can get your money back, so it will not hurt to try it.

Tour Guide Mike is AWESOME!!!!
I used the site for our first WDW family vacation back in Nov. and his
helpful itinerary was right on! We saw and experienced so much with no lines!! The site was a touch overwhelming at first but I had 6 months to take my time and read and study.
It sounds like you are like me though and want to read any and all of the tidbits you can about WDW. This is the site for you. If you like all the little details, then you'll love tourguidemike.com
It's not that much money considering the amount you'll spend overall.
I will say I'm a reader of all WDW stuff and love the little details and I have the UG and I love the disboards but tons of stuff was there in the tourguide mike site that I never found anywhere else.

Enjoy
