UGH! They are closing Tough to be a Bug when we are there at the end of August! We have a 23 month old and that was one of the few things he can do there and enjoy!!

Not sure if this is a consulation to you or not...but most kids are scared to death of It's Tough to be a Bug!

I've seen more kids crying in that show than anyother.

Has your son seen it before? :confused3 I usually end up next to the screaming 3 year old who is begging his parents to leave. Takes a little of my enjoyment away knowing there is a terrified child next to me.

My kids actually begged to NOT do it! The spiders coming down from the ceiling at the end terrified them. I wasn't too excited about that part, either.;)

Both of our boys were scared of that one until they were older! I don't think missing it will be all bad.:goodvibes

When my DD was 5, she dove to the ground during the show, and I could hardly get into any theater or movie style show for the rest of the trip.

From all the guide books I have read that Tough to be a Bug wasn't really meant for toddlers and most little kids do find it super scary. Your kid may not be afraid of anything yet. He might have been afraid of that. SO it's probably not a bad thing that it will be closed when you are there.

PPl take their kids in these shows and rides and then when the kid gets terrified and starts screaming bloody murder everyone else in there has to have their experience ruined over it.

A little research on the different attractions through books like The Unofficial Guide to Disney with Kids 2011 is helpful to know what age range certain attractions are meant for. It describes every ride and attraction in detail.

He is not scared of anything so I don't think that would be an issue.

Yes but most other shows aren't 'stinging' you either. It's not the show itself that is scary, it's the effects the seats do to you.

Plus the fact that you're trapped in a dark room with scary stuff everywhere and the kids have no idea when it's going to end.

No way would I take a 2 year old in there....

I've seen ITTBAB at least 10 times and never heard any screaming kids. I go off season, but have definitely seen kids going in. I'm sure it happens a lot, but not to all kids. Now Stitch....

There are TONS of things he can enjoy. Don't think about what he can't do, think about what he can do. My gosh, I have a broken neck and find Animal Kingdom to be a complete day. Tons of walking trails and animals, tons of shows (do not pass up Flights of Wonder). So he can't do thrill rides or now It's Tough to be a Bug. Focus on giving him what he can do and forget about the rest. He won't care and he won't know. You are the one doing all the negative.

We haven't been to that show since my ds was 3.5 and I had to take him and dd1 out screaming. Scared him so bad he refused to see any shows the rest of the trip - and that happened on day 1.

He can do the Boneyard, the Triceritop Spin, the Safari, Lion King Show, Nemo Show, train to Conservation Station, bird show and all of the walking trails. Really the only thing you will miss is Dinosaur, Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest which he will be too short for and this show which probably would have scared him.

You're either very lucky or oblivious because it pretty much happens to me every time I go in, and we go a lot.

I have heard more adults scream than kids and I always laugh. My kids love it and even on their first trip had no issues with it.

I heard screams and squeals, like on a roller coaster, etc., but never any crying.:confused3
