TOTW on Event Night (MNSSHP or MVMCP) Availability

Didn’t realize there is no Villians Lair or Wicked Wind down offered on event (party) nights.

just wondering what success others have had trying to access the lounge in the past during those nights.

Don’t really want to hang out for hours prior. Have never visited those nights. For 10 pm FW, should arriving @ 8 pm do the trick?

do have a California Grill ADR, just not a fan of the new menu.

Also, have booked the party for the following night. Thought it would be fun to again see the show from different view than ground level.

I’m curious too, having never visited. Do they play the FW music in the lounge? If not, you may want to go the night after the party instead of the night before, so you’ll have the background ambiance already in your head.

I can’t remember if they do have the music, we are always on the terrace to watch it. They still did pipe it into BLT rooms last time we were there.

I am not sure how some of this info gets out there. I just attended an Enchantment at the Top party on 9/6, which was a party night. However, because of the scheduling shenanigans, they were only about 12 people there. So it was run totally different from the two. I attended last year on both Halloween and Christmas party nights. Because of the lower attendance the desserts were not placed out on the bar as usual, so you could serve yourself. Instead, they gave you a plate with one of each, and it was difficult to ask for additional ones that she specifically wanted. For some reason, this did not appear on the calendar until about two weeks before the actual event. Rather than the usual servers. The two bartenders were doing everything. This thread reminds me I need to send them an email about my dissatisfaction. I already noted it on my survey.

So my recommendation is, if there is a specific night you want just keep trying.

Let me enlighten you lol:

I chatted with MS yesterday and was told there were “no” parties on event nights.

The party you reference is currently only scheduled on Friday’s. Specifically, did ask if that was offered, again, CM indicated “no”.

my preference was the Villians event

BTW, I was less 3 weeks out from the dates I was inquiring about

This exactly! I started calling at the 60 day mark back in July, and there was nothing on the September calendar for Villains Lair. I kept calling every 2-3 days. The first week of September opened for WWD about 3 weeks in advance, but not EaTT. So I booked WWD for the 5th and continued calling for the party on the 6th. FINALLY it was available for booking 2 weeks in advance. The cast member even remembered me from one of my earlier calls, LOL.

This must be a new development. We attended the Wicked Wind Down last December on a Christmas party night. It did make for some awkward timing as they told us to arrive 30 minutes before the fireworks which was around 9:30 if I recall correctly. That was a bit later than we'd normally eat, but it was fine. Still, we decided that party nights aren't the best time to attend that event and probably wouldn't do it again - which it appears is no longer an option anyway form what the OP was told.

I’ve read the same. Had wondered if one could hang out “standby” on terrace prior if desired, then switch over when their time.

I'm guessing you could assuming it wasn't a crazy busy night. They were very clear when I made the reservation that they could not guarantee a table for us until 30 minutes before fireworks, so that's when we arrived. And then when we got there over half the tables were empty. We placed our orders right away, but of course we received our food about 5 minutes before fireworks . If we ever do this again we will take our chances and show up at least an hour before fireworks. If we have to wait for a table, that's fine. But hopefully we can get in and get a bite to eat before heading out to the terrace.

Today, had to call MS on another matter. As a fluke, asked if Wicked Wind Down was offered on the night I had tried to book a week ago.

CM checked and said, yes it was. No, it wasn’t available to us…call back every day & hope for a cancellation.

Lol, too much work, will just keep CA Grill res.

Did want to update though that they are indeed scheduling for event dates.

Excluding walk up or waiting till day of (neither of wich we want to do) what lounge event do you guys prefer for a party night? I'm getting confused. I'm trying to get my facts straight before calling ms to book something.

Enchantment at the top is only available on Fridays. So it’s going to depend on what day you want to go, and how much you want to spend. And if you only plan on one drink, I would stick with wicked wind down.

Good tip on Enchanted.....we aren't drinkers....but the mocktail and some food sound good. How is the food at wicked wind down? Ty.
