Anyone ever taken the Totems, Exclusive Lumberjack Show and Potlatch Park Featuring Exclusive Youth Activity? We have two girls 12 and 5.

I took this tour with my DD back in July 2013 while DH went fishing and we really enjoyed it. My DD was 11 y.o. at the time and although she was amongst the older group of kids, she certainly wasn't the oldest one there. We enjoyed our time at Potlatch Park visiting the carving shed, hearing stories and visiting the exhibits inside the store area and of course the kids got to paint a feather to be added to a totem later. They received a totem as a reminder of their visit and my DD was thrilled.

Our bus driver was very informative giving us a little insight into life in Alaska and pointed out some points of interest on route to/from Potlatch Park.

Now, I was looking forward to seeing the Lumberjack show as it isn't something we can see at home and I realised that it didn't always get the best reviews. However we were entertained and were impressed by the skills of the lumberjacks. Our DD got her photo taken with the lumberjacks at the end of the show and we spent some time in their gift shop, too.

Would I do it again? Probably not as we have "been there, done that" now but we both had a good time and were glad we experienced both places. The tour was well paced, the show is near the dock so we could easily walk back to the ship and we had plenty of time to spend in town afterwards too.

We did this tour 2 years ago, we are seniors, no kids, but enjoyed the pace. DH especially loved the old
car museum at Potlach Park along with the totem shed and the totem poles. The lumberjack show was also
good and it was walking distance to the ship. We had a good time.

We did this with 8 and almost 4 yo boys (they said it was ok) in August 2014. The lumber jack show is first. It's a special Disney version where kids get to check out the slingshots before the show starts and they get kid volunteers from the audience etc. I actually saw this show many yrs ago on a non-Disney cruise to Alaska with MY parents as a young adult and still found it entertaining. We all liked potlatch park and saw our only bald eagle (billy) there. Disney counselors take the kids away to paint the totem feathers which supposedly get added to the totem by the water every week during the Disney cruise season. Little one did not want to go with the counselors. Parents are led on tour of the buildings. Everyone gets cookies, cocoa and coffee at the end. My youngest has a nut allergy so he couldn't eat the almond cookies. I bought candy from gift shop for him to eat since there is no other food option at there and the tour didn't get back until almost 1 pm. We enjoyed it though.
