Months ago I bought Body Glide for our Disney trip. Haven't actually tried it out or anything, just bought it based on the rave reviews it gets here on the DIS. So now I've read RellaBella's post that she used it on the bottom of her feet and was sliding around in her shoes all day!

Could somebody please explain to the newbies how to use this stuff??? Do you not use it on the whole foot bottom, maybe just on the parts likely to blister?

I've used body glide when working out in really hot weather but never on my feet. If I'm putting on socks and sneakers for whatever reason I just put a good layer of lotion on my feet. It actually helps moisturize while walking or running.

I used it on my feet but only on the sides and tops of my toes that have rubbing contact with the sneaker or shoe.

Apply it like deodorant to any area that might become an issue. You really can't over coat it.

The stuff is amazing, and it's made a huge difference on trips when I've had it.

I too use it when I hit some big walking event like WDW. I put it all over my feet but do concentrate on the tops of my toes, sides of my feet and heels. I put it on the pads under my toes too. I just went to Six Flags (yuck) a few weeks ago in 100* temps and I wore those sweat wicking sox, from Target, and my feet didn't slip around at all. They stayed dry, or as dry as they could in that heat, and didn't get 1 blister. I also put it all over the kids feet and they have never complained about feet slippage...and you know how kids can complain. ;)
Good luck and have fun!!!

I use body glide all the time on my feet. I have never slid around in my shoes with or without socks.

I must have missed the memo on this thing. What is this? A cream, a spray and more importantly where do I find it?

I used it in May and it was great. I put it on the bottom of my feet in some areas where I've gotten blisters in the past. I wore Birkenstocks sandals and did not slip around. It did darken my sandals quite a bit, but it was a small price to pay for blister-free feet. :thumbsup2

I have a question about the wicking socks. I plan to buy some for our upcoming trip at Target because I have read several places on the DIS that Target has them. We have always gone to WDW in November or December. This will be our first trip in Sept. and in the heat. I know that I should buy these socks to help out. My question is about kids' socks. Do they have them for children's socks? What about their poor feet? I have a 8 and 11 year old. The 11 year old can wear adult socks if needed, but not the 8 year old.

I'm ordering this for DH and for my brother....they both have trouble with blisters on their feet! Of course, it's because they refuse to go barefoot! As soon as they get out of the shower, they dry their feet and put socks right back on.

Mine are tough as nails from all the flip-flop wearing I do...I've not had a blister in years.
