The 10 day non-expiring park hopper from undercover tourist is the agreed ticket of choice for those who will go less than around 6 days a yr, as I understand it. To add the waterpark and fun option, it's only around $10 more. I just called disney to confirm--the 10 fun credits do not have to be used the same 10 days as the park visits. SO you can theoretically have 20 days of park/waterpark fun (although you would use up 2 credits in 1 day if you went to two water parks). If i had plenty of cash burning a hole in my pocket I think I'd get two 10 day no exp tickets--one park hopper and one not, and the park hopper w/ the waterpark option

I did this last year before the price increase! I figured it was a good investment. ;)

I bought 2 right before the price increase this year with no intention of going anytime soon. Wanted to lock in yesterdays prices for a few visits. Can't see myself going back after they are used as I'm not going to pay anymore for a Disney trip.

We're considering the 10 day PH-WPF&M NE, as we have two days in April for which DW and I do not have passes. DS7 has a PAP that expires on the last day of our April visit. We have 3 new AP's to activate for our July trip, which will be used in December and June 2015. I worry about spending all of that money and having 8 days of PH passes sitting out there waiting to be used, as we plan to do the AP thing for awhile to get in two trips. I do like the 10 WPF&M entitlements, although we have considered buying a water park AP.

I am curious why you would buy one as a 10 day PH-NE and the other 10 day PH-WPF&M NE. They are so close in price, that it is worth the extra less than $20 for the 10 WP entitlements, unless you are just not into the water parks.

This post includes the assumption you have a ten day MYW ticket with both the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More (WPF&M) options.

(Note, if you have a ticket of fewer than ten days, insert the number of days you have any time you see the number "ten" in this post.)

Hopefully this will make it a little clearer. In effect you have two tickets with different privileges on one card. Everything expires 14 days after first use unless you have the no-expire (NE) option. If you have the NE option all the entitlements are good until they are used up. Even if you use up all your major park days, the WPF&M entries remain valid until used. (Note you do not have to use the days consecutively.)

You have ten days of access to the four major parks (AK, DHS, EC, MK), and may visit more than one major park on a single day without any extra charges. Without the Park Hopper option you can only go to one major park per day.

You have ten entries to the minor parks (BB, DQ, OT, TL, WWS, FG, WSL). These may or may not be used on the same days as you go to the major parks. However, if you went to TL in the morning, Oak Trail* in the afternoon, and Disney Quest in the evening of one day you would have used three of the ten entries. (Note that leaving and returning to the same minor park on the same day does not use an extra entry.)

If you go to minor parks only on one day and do not go to a major park you do not use up one of your major park days.

If you were to go to a Water Park in the morning and then one of the major parks for the remainder of the day you would have used one minor park entry and one day of major park entry.

Note that with the MYW ticket unless you have the hopper option you can only go to one major park per day. Unless you have the WPF&M option you cannot go to a minor park without upgrading or purchasing a separate ticket.

*Oak Trail is a nine-hole "Executive" walking (no carts) golf course. Each person must have their own set of clubs and they can be rented for $15 per person if they don't bring their own.

Note if you have only a Base (non-hopper) ticket the cost to add WPF&M to any ticket is $60.71 (including tax) per ticket. If you already have hopping on your ticket, the cost to add WPF&M to the ticket is $26.26.

I thought about getting 2 tickets as well, a non-PH and PH. I would use the non-PH on my travel days or days where I know I would not park hop and then PH on the other days.

However, it's only a $26.26 difference, so to me, that's not worth the headache in figuring it out. Like in case I want to PH that day, but used the non-PH. I would just end up getting PH only.

Interesting approach. I guess we usually only hit one park on travel day, too. With the small difference in cost, adding the PH option seems like a reasonable value. We have been AP people for a couple of years, so I am more interested in having the WP entitlements of a NE ticket to use over a few years so I don't have to buy a PAP. Of course, that leaves me with theme park PH entitlements that will not be used as long as we have an active AP.

Same here, we're AP holders as well. So the times when we use one the Major Park entitlements are at the beginning of the AP year, that way I can activate the AP a day later or at the end of the AP year, if we stayed a day over our AP year.

But yes at less than $3 a day for 10 days, I agree, just make it a PH. It's also the WPFM (minor park) entitlements that I want.

I also bought 10 day No Expire, WP & More, Hopper, tickets for my whole family 2 years ago before a price increase. I added the hoppers because we planned to use the tickets over 3 or 4 trips and we like to hit all four parks on one vacation. Over 3 trips we'd have 3 park days, 3 park days, the n 4 park days. Needed hoppers for two of those trips. I LOVE having my tickets already paid for. It makes planning a trip so much easier...one of the most expensive things is already paid for!
