I read on someone's trip report that there are no longer lap bars on Tot. Is this true? We have only been to DW once and loved Tot and without lapbars it must be even scarier! How fun! Cant wait to go back in Dec. 2004:D

Yes, I've read on these boards that all the seats have seatbelts now. Woohoo!!!!:bounce:

Awesome news!!! I always tried to get that back row middle seat so I could have the seatbelt - leave it a little lose and I love the lift!!!

When we went in May of this year some elevators had seat belts and some still had lapbars. We rode in one of each and I definitely liked the seatbelts except that to hold on there are handles between the seats so sometimes you had to share with your neighbor.

Can't wait!!! Last time we rode, my DH got the "suicide seat" and couldn't get it to fasten...the CM's response was, "Sometime's they do, sometimes they don't" Of course, he got it in time!!!! Love TOT!!!!

Love that CM response. I can just picture that creepy bellhop saying that in their usual eerie monotone voice. Gives me goosebumps.:D

just there a few weeks ago- no lap bars:D

Just rode it in June and no lap bars. Actually, I like the lap bars better as these seatbelts automatically retract so you can't leave them a little loose.

I personally like the seatbelts better (I was just there a week ago) because sometimes you might get stuck at the same lap bar as someone much heavier than you, and so the lap bar would be very loose and you'd feel ready fall out. The seatbelts stay snug to only you.

Can't wait to try out the seatbelts. I know my 5yo DD will love it. ToT is her favorite ride, but she hates me putting a leg on hers to help keep her from flying up so much. With the lap bar, she comes off the seat a whoooole bunch, and it's really not cool to ride with your mom practically sitting in your lap!

I've promised myself never to ride TOT again, but now that they are no lapbars, I have put more faith into my resolve! I need something to grasp tightly to, because honestly my siblings and dad have requested the use of their arms...
