Well, to begin with, I certainly wouldn't be caught on camera leering at and trying to touch a stranger. Just to start. But if I was, then I'd have to say that yes, I would most likely try to get as far away from the scene as possible.
As far as I know, he isn't on trial, he is wanted for questioning, so proof isn't the issue. If they are able to identify him and say, he has a criminal background of similar (alleged) behavior, that, along with this photo and the woman's statement would possibly be enough evidence, albeit circumstantial, to get him a nice little vacation in the county jail. Or in front of a jury, at the very least.
No one is suggesting he be hanged. But I'd certainly hope everyone would agree that he should be questioned, if they can ever identify him. Just because there wasn't a rape committed or bodily fluids left on her sweater doesn't mean a crime wasn't committed or that it should be taken lightly.
