Tortola?

Is anyone doing this and booking themselves due to younger kids?

We are traveling with a 3 and 5 year old on the May 1st sailing. I'd love to hear if this is doable for for them and what people have done private.

I would love it if someone would post a picture of the tightest space and the toughest place to make it through. That would help me gauge things. Thanks in advance.

I was hoping for good beach recommendations too. The Baths are out for my family too. Thank you!

We are going to do it with our 9 and 4 year olds next month. Looks like Speedy's to get to VG, and cabs? from dock to the baths. The only thing that makes me nervous are the changing ferry schedules and timing our return to get back in time

Sorry, I tried to upload a few pictures but was not successful. The tightest spots are if you are going from the Baths to Devil's Bay. The initial spot to lead you there is very tight and narrow. Adults either have to "duck" walk through or crawl. You do not have to go to Devil's Bay. The walk down to the Baths from the top isn't to narrow but is is rough & rocky. My son used his GOPro for a few minutes as we were walking down, I will see if he can get some images.

We are heading to the baths in the morning but will still have a lot time left after. Is there anything fun to do close to port?

awesome video! Thank you! I am struggling with what type of footwear....that path at the top looks like sneakers or hikers to me...thoughts?

My DS (15) and I did it in flip flops and DS (10) in Crocs. I wish I knew and I would have worn sneakers.

So any recommendations on private tours to get a 3 and 5 year old over there?

Great video! Beach area is beautiful but the hiking and tight fits through rocks is not my cup of tea! We will most likely be taking a taxi somewhere.....I like to just wing it anyway, not knowing what the weather may be like. Don't want to be committed to a pre-paid excursion if it is a crummy day.

Thank you so much! It was awesome. But now I'm really confused as I've heard so many people say it was physically strenuous and it seemed you were able to walk it with a camera. Please let me know.

Thanks again!

One person's "strenuous" is another person's walk to the store. I know a lot of Americans who think it's a chore to walk from the first row of parking spaces into the grocery store. To them the mere effort of getting their butt out of the car and moving under their own power is enough to make them want to take a 6-hour nap afterwards.

We are joining a Patouche tour next week which includes the Baths. We have DD 8 & 6 years old. They are veteran swim team members. I will let you know about the experience. This is a swim to shore at the Baths, but the Captain said he could tow the younger child if necessary.
