It's been very humid here and there are tornadoes in Kansas, Nebraska and South Dakota with the chance of these storms moving into Minnesota. Hope everyone is ok!

We are a bit south of that area but the weather is spooky....very grey and windy. I think we are under a tornado watch. Hope it's not too bad...I'll switch to the weather channel and see whats going on. Ditto on the "be safe".

The air here is incredibly heavy! I hope DS remembers to take his inhaler before track or it could be pretty ugly!

Iowa too, I think. My DH is out of town tonight and I'm home with the youngest two. I hope it blows right over us.

Oh I hope not my basement is a mess and if we have to go down tonight I will have to listen to my DH complain and worry about the tornado. (need to clean it but DISing is too addicting)

I hate spring....with the screwy chicago area weather over the winter, I predicted it would be a bad spring w/thunderstorms...like it was in 2004.

Yeah, they are saying things are going to get bad here today. Great! I have a 2yo afraid of thunder and I have to go back to school tonight for a big to-do. I hope it is just rain!

I checked the local weather report for the Twin Cities. Looks like Minnesota will be safe from the severe weather:

Rain could become locally heavy at times this evening and tonight with a few thunderstorms possible. It is far more unstable South of us in Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas where severe weather including tornadoes could develop. The thunderstorms in our neck of the woods will be far more tame. Rain will ease to showers tomorrow with gusty winds. Friday is clearly looking like a raw day with better weather on the way for Saturday.

Tornado warnings now in Oklahoma. I'll be glad when my DS is home from school. Looks like a long afternoon /evening of storms ahead. :sad2:

We just got it. Very fast storm! There is damage in the area, but we are fine. It's in Iowa now. It's a very strong storm so if you're in it's way, take shelter! We have some collapsed/damaged buildings!

:wave2: from tornado alley. The biggest problem right now is the wind. It has been extremely windy here for the past few days and some are without power due to high winds blowing down lines :sad2:

They just extended our tornado watch for another 6 hours until midnight.

It was crazy windy here last night when the fron moved through. I thought the house was going to be blown away about 2AM.

We had quite a bit of rain, but I think the Tornado Watch has been cancelled, thank heavens! I really hate those heavy, gray clouds. Plus, I can never sleep because I am afraid I will miss the sirens!
