Topolinos Breakfast: What's the current 'regulation' on ordering?

Hi All,

Hoping ya'll can help me regarding our upcoming Topolinos breakfast as I can't seem to find a consensus elsewhere on the internet. We've never been to this restaurant for breakfast and will be going at the end of September.

In my viewing of reviews on YouTube and depending on when the video was created, I've noticed it's gone from sort of an 'all you care to enjoy' to 'order two entree's' to you only get to order 1 entree but maybe you can order a side of an extra something-- which SEEMS to be the latest iteration? Can anyone who has been there provide some info on getting to be able to order anything extra on the side? I'm just sort of annoyed that they charge you buffet prices for one entree and nothing special lol and trying to get biggest bang for buck I suppose. I know the food is supposed to be better than average but we'll see.

Any tips on how this place currently operates would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I enjoy Crystal Palace, but I will happily pay $1 more for Topolino’s. Buffet food is just that, buffet food. I prefer my food made to order as I like it. I always get the steak and eggs with potatoes at Topolino’s and I never leave hungry. If you’re still hungry, you can always ask for more pastries. If character interaction is part of what you were looking for, I also find that much better at Topolino’s. Crystal Palace and 1900 Park Fare just see more chaotic.

I was at Topolino‘s for breakfast in May but did not ask for anything extra. I have a reservation next week so I will ask when I am there.

I was there in January and unless it's changed since then, you're correct. It's basically one entree but they will let you get an additional side. As PP mentioned, the steak and eggs with potatoes is amazing. One of the best breakfasts I've had on property and well above any of the buffets. You can get a side of ham in addition that's really good but also as PP mentioned, it's really not necessary. I left so full that I decided next time to just skip the pastries.

We were there in June and were able to ask for a side of waffles and toast ( for the table) in addition to our entrees. One of the best breakfasts on property

We love Topolino's breakfast! Last ate there in May and have a reservation next month. In May I ordered the delicious sour cream waffles and bacon and asked for a side of eggs which was provided. Add to that the pastry bucket (we did get seconds on it), coffee and POG juice and I was a full happy camper. It is not a buffet but I prefer it. The character interaction is wonderful, the atmosphere is as well (Riviera ties with GFV for my favorite resort) and the tables are not on top of each other. Highly recommend you should not leave hungry - think quality over quantity. At least that's how I view it.

Topolino's is a signature restaurant with better service, a nicer presentation and better prepared and also includes characters. If this is of no value to you I would suggest going elsewhere. Buffets will offer the standard fare in quantity. CS if you like the menu at most resorts especially GF and SSR are prepared fresh and are good. WL - Whispering Canyon has a great bang for your buck with the Skillet for breakfast/Lunch you can also order a different skillet for each person in your party and eat from each others so long as all who eat from the skillet order one but again this pretty much standard fare.

I thought Topolino's had stopped allowing the extra side, but maybe that changed after people complained? It was never supposed to be official anyway, but so many servers were allowing it that it kind of became a "thing." Unless you just mean like a side of bacon or something.

Topolino's is great and I love the characters, but whether it is "worth it" really depends on what you order. The steak? Sure. But a fruit plate will never be worth $50 no matter how many pastries you order or how good the characters are.

I've done it twice, but I'm not sure I have a desire to go back. I actually like buffets, but the consensus around here seems that most people don't. It isn't for the amount of food either, but for the variety.

Exactly-- it's the variety offered at the buffets that make it hard to pay that money for like... a quiche and some pastries that people have said have gone down in quality lol.

Thank you everyone for your insights! I feel better about the experience after hearing about recent positive experiences. I personally think the better quality in experience and food is worth it but was nervous bringing in-laws if that makes sense-- but I think I' over it; as long as people don't go home hungry which is what I was concerned about... I think we are good! Thanks!!
