Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

Don't forget those cruise prices are pretty good in October too.... BUT the F & W... good grief. Well, what can compete with that??? As far as an "Adult only" -- I WISH I could get away with that. My own adult (and I mean my darling husband) refuses to comply! He won't go to Disney without the kids... Cruise, fine, parks, NO. SO that has worked in my favor, but I mean SHEESH! Not even the dang LOBSTER Roll works... Anyhow, if you did a cruise you could say it is a "scouting mission" and they can't come. ;)

Happy Easter weekend!!!! ;) And a lovely start to your Spring Break!

I think the Beach is a great vacation. And a DIsney beach is even better. Think you guys will have a great time!!

Maybe as the boys get older, your DH will change his mind about heading to the parks without them -- you can hope, right? After all, those lobster rolls can be quite persuasive. :goodvibes

The cruise would be so fun, I think, at any time of the year!

Wow. I never even suspected this might be an April Fools joke!

Kathy

I never even thought about the possibility when I was posting -- I try to forget that April 1 is considered a "holiday" by some. :lmao:

I think the Beach is a great vacation. And a DIsney beach is even better. Think you guys will have a great time!!

Thanks, Mary! I am looking forward to a beach vacation with a Disney touch to it!

Thanks! We've been wanting to try the Disney resort at Hilton Head for years now, so I am glad that things have worked out for that. Hopefully no more changes unless I flake out completely and can't handle being without Disney for a year. LOL!

I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time at HH. Relaxing and sitting on the beach sound wonderful!

I've never been to SC. But now that we're DVC members, I may have to try out their resort.

And in the event you can't handle being without Disney for a year, there's always the value resorts or you can rent points ;)

Hey Jackie...so excited to hear about your plans. I too would love to read about HH - can't wait for your TR!:goodvibes

If there is one thing I miss at WDW it is the beach. So this is truly the next best thing to Disney, and the fact that you were able to book at DHH just seals the deal, doesn't it? I am so happy this worked out for you!:)

I am sure once the shock and disappointment of having to change your initial plans wears off the excitement of Disney Hilton Head is going to take over. And there is nothing wrong with feeling disappointed...us Dissers invest so much time, energy and passion planning our trips. ;)

Visions of sitting on the beach, toes in sand, mickey bar in hand certainly doesn't sound bad at all - LOL!

It sounds like it's going to be a wonderful relaxing trip. So different from the WDW craziness. My mom is always saying she wants to go on a beach vacation and just chill for an entire week or so.

WOW! I can not wait to read your TR about Hilton Head! I have always wanted to try it. I am sure you will give us a wonderful report! Also, it is great that they have Mickey Icecream! I would get one every day if I were you ;)

The pictures of HH look fantastic. I had no idea that the resort existed. I love th ebeach, but didn't get there this winter as Florida was too cold. I do love the salt air.

I have to go to Las Vegas this year because my DH is not a big Disney fan. He usually enjoys his trip to WDW, it's the arm twisting to get him there. 2011 is my target date with my DGDs. :cheer2:

I love what I saw of south Carolina..Charleston is my favorite city that I've visted...so gorgeous.

I am looking forward to the beach! I even started making lists yesterday!

I could sing the praises of the SC coast for hours!!! It's a beautiful place!

Thank you! Yes, visions of watching the tide coming in with a Mickey bar do make me smile! I don't think I could tear myself away from WDW if there wasn't a Disney resort at HHI, so that worked out well.

My fear is that we will end up bored, but I think there will be enough to do to keep us occupied while we are down there.

Thank you! I do plan on getting Mickey ice cream every day! :lmao:

The smell of the ocean is one of my favorite smells in the entire world!!!

Las Vegas sounds like fun! I hear from lots of people that it's like an adults' Walt Disney World.

don't some people do Hilton Head TR's??? :scratchin: hmmm....

I believe they do, Julez! ;)

Another change....sounds good, but have you cancelled the other trip yet...

Nope, I haven't. I don't want to cancel and then change my mind again.

I love what I saw of south Carolina..Charleston is my favorite city that I've visted...so gorgeous.

Charleston is the prettiest city in the United States, in my opinion. :goodvibes

I am looking forward to the beach! I even started making lists yesterday!

:rotfl: What's a trip without a list or multiple lists!

laughing:

And you better do a TR! That's mandatory and non-negotiable.

I definately don't think you will be bored for a minute. I have read Podsnel's HH TR's and she is always doing something. No boredom there - that's for sure!

Mickey bars and the smell of the ocean - a wonderful start! :thumbsup2

What are some of the activities you guys can do while you are there? Are there things like mini-golf and go-karts for the kids? Museums? A zoo? I know nothing of the area, so it will be fun to follow along on your planning. :)

It will be great to see a Disney resort that is not in Disney World, since I haven't seen those in trip reports yet.

Huge changes! Sounds like a good one though.

I will anxiously follow along to see where you do end up. :thumbsup2

I think the beach is a great alternative Jackie! Really, reading your plans is making me wish for waves and sand myself. We had decided not to take a family vacation this year, but I wonder if Don could be persuaded????

You are right MEK....Podsnel was always up to something! I remember reading the report and between dinners and the beach there was always something to do.
Okay....I just went and looked on the DVC member website and took a tour of your room! :rotfl2: Looks really nice....very pretty decor :thumbsup2 I just love the beach and come to think of it the last time was in 2007 on the Wonder...before that it was OBX and a few years at that. Wayyyyyyy too long!
Another plus is that YOU won't have to drive as long ;)
Can't wait to hear more details.....:goodvibes

Tracy

I think you are going to start a new trend here Jackie!
I'm longing for a Hilton Head vacation. :cloud9:
I may beg Shocker for some Hilton Head points before the year is up!
:goodvibes

Hi CP

did you confess to the kids about the "secret" to get the ocean votes?

anyways I love ocean vacays too...:goodvibes
