Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

Yesterday was the big day of our reveal to Chelsea. Connor already knew and had been taking the links off his countdown for the past couple of days.

We chose yesterday since Chelsea would be coming home from visiting her grandfather and his wife, Ms. Joan, in Dallas, Texas for the past week. So, before I tell you about the reveal, I have to tell you a little bit about her trip. It was her first time flying alone, and I was a nervous wreck. This trip had been hers and her grandfather’s idea, and she didn’t seem the least bit bothered by any of it until we were at the airport, and it was time for her to board. Then, all of a sudden, Chelsea threw her arms around my neck, refused to let go, and cried, “Don’t leave me, Mommy! Don’t leave me! Don’t make me get on the airplane all by myself!” She was like a three-year-old on the first day of preschool and made a complete spectacle of herself. I really wanted to announce to the waiting passengers that this trip had not been my idea. ;)

Anyway, Chelsea had a great time with her grandfather and Ms. Joan after surviving the flight. Actually, she said she really liked the flight because there was a lot of turbulence, and it was just like a roller coaster. Crazy girl. They took her to the US Mint, the aquarium, a couple of museums, ice skating, shopping, out to eat, and to watch fireworks. They also enlisted her help to pick out two cats, and Chelsea and Ms. Joan made a quilt together to match her new room. She had a wonderful vacation, but I know she was ready to come home at the end of it.

When she got off the airplane, she was wearing her new cowboy boots and a pair of shorts. That’s my girl. LOL!

In case you didn’t see the pictures on Facebook, here she is in her new boots.

Not sure what she was trying to do in this picture. LOL!

Here is the quilt she made with Ms. Joan.

When we arrived home after a LONG drive through Atlanta, she headed to her room. I heard, “What’s this? Oh, and Minnie brought me presents? Silly Bandz!!!” I hurried in to see what her reaction would be and tell her the Silly Bandz were from Miss Anita, but she told me she didn’t want to open the card until she had unpacked. Fine.

Finally, she opened the card and L.O.V.E.D. it. She giggled and giggled over the pictures and the poem. She asked me, “Did you write the poem?” to which I promptly replied, “No. Bo did.” But then she got that look on her face, and I told her Poolrat had helped Bo write it since he was a man of few words. LOL! I also told her about MeMom and Jill dressing him up, and she said, “He looks good.” You know that long drawn out “good” that teenage girls say!

This morning, I noticed Bo had a spot on one of her bookcases.

Love Chelsea's boots! I am glad she was able to travel!

I am so excited that you are going in 10 days:banana::banana: That means I am going in 20~ Woo Hoo!!!

Now I can go on vacation!!!! :rotfl2:

Everything is almost done now, except for the always last minute items.
Now I have the seen and read the reveal and I can cross that off my list. :)

I am so glad she enjoyed the card and hopefully Bo will be back in his spot by the time you get there.

I will ask if I don't see him and someone will have some 'splaining to do if I get an answer I don't like. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Look how cute Chelsea is in her new boots! Goodness, Jackie, you are going to have to beat those boys back with a stick, Chelsea's a doll :goodvibes

Keeping my figners crossed that Poolrat can get to the bottom of this Bo disappearance!

:rotfl2: at Chelsea in the Airport! That's just brutal.

That quilt is just adorable, as is your girl.

What a great reaction to the reveal.

Online check-in :thumbsup2

But to where?

:rotfl:

Just checking.....

SO cute Jackie! I love the update. Her boots are adorable. Love the quilt as well.

I can't believe you guys leave in 10 days!! So exciting. :goodvibes It seems like just last week you guys were going to Hilton Head... this is so much better. ;)

Love Chelsea's boots. That girl has style!

Aw, it's nice to feel needed by our little independent women sometimes. :rotfl:

Boots and shorts are awesome when you have cute legs like Chelsea. :thumbsup2

Cute quilt!

Sounds like she had a great week!

I just read through your whole PTR and am excited for you and your family for your upcoming trip!! I can't wait to read all about it.

Trish

So did you love the mom moment when she acted like your three year old again (aside from being mortified that the other people thought you were sending your daughter away)? I think as they grow up it is so nice to be reminded how important we still are to them.

Her trip sounds wonderful, and she brought home two great souvenirs!

The fun is getting closer!!!

I love the boots. The quilt is beautiful. Love the colors.
I'm so happy your surprise went well. And I can't believe your trip is in only 10 days :yay: Chelsea is going to have an unforgettable 13th birthday at Disney.

Chelsea is such a cutie. I can never get over either one of your kids, they're just awesome.

I love quilt she made and how she's rockin' her new cowboy boots. :thumbsup2

And it seems as though the reveal went quite well! To Disney World you go!

:rotfl: I love the "He looks gooooooood". Too funny! And a "He's a man of few words." Hilarious!

Chelsea cracked me up when she said that with the inflection she did. LOL!

Love Chelsea's boots! I am glad she was able to travel!

I am so excited that you are going in 10 days:banana::banana: That means I am going in 20~ Woo Hoo!!!

Thanks! Chelsea had a great time once she got over her initial nervousness. Very excited that today is ten days until Disney! I plan on doing online check-in this afternoon for my Disney treat of the day! Hurray for 20 days! It's going to go fast for you, I am sure!

Now I can go on vacation!!!! :rotfl2:

Have a great time on your trip!!! Can't wait to hear how you like seeing the parade again!

You go give them "what for" at DHS for us!

Look how cute Chelsea is in her new boots! Goodness, Jackie, you are going to have to beat those boys back with a stick, Chelsea's a doll :goodvibes

Keeping my figners crossed that Poolrat can get to the bottom of this Bo disappearance!

I am keeping my fingers crossed for Poolrat to get Bo back in his spot for us, too! I love Chelsea's boots, too -- I think she made a good choice. What do you want to bet she wears them on the first day of school even if it is a hundred degrees outside, still? :lmao: Thanks -- I think Chelsea is a cutie, too, but I am awfully biased! ;)

:rotfl2: at Chelsea in the Airport! That's just brutal.

It took me completely off guard because she is so independent and such a risk-taker. I never would have guessed she would do that! I even had to use my stern Mommy voice to get her to disengage. LOL!

That quilt is just adorable, as is your girl.

Thanks! She had a lot of fun making it with Ms. Joan.

What a great reaction to the reveal.

Online check-in :thumbsup2

But to where?

:rotfl:

Just checking.....

Caribbean Beach Resort! I figure I shouldn't rock the boat too much!

Very cool quilt. Yay for a good reaction!

Thank you! I think Chelsea did a great job choosing fabrics and making the quilt!

I love the boots and the quilt. Online check-in is so much fun. It makes the trip seem so much more real.

Thanks! It does make it seem very very close! It's hard to believe the trip is almost here!

SO cute Jackie! I love the update. Her boots are adorable. Love the quilt as well.

Thanks! I adore those boots! Wish she was wearing my shoe size, but she is still two sizes away before I can borrow her shoes. LOL!

I can't believe you guys leave in 10 days!! So exciting. :goodvibes It seems like just last week you guys were going to Hilton Head... this is so much better. ;)

Love Chelsea's boots. That girl has style!

I agree -- heading to Disney World is so much better than heading to Hilton Head! I can't believe the trip is right around the corner!

Thanks! Chelsea does have a sense of style that's for sure! :goodvibes

Aw, it's nice to feel needed by our little independent women sometimes. :rotfl:

Yes, I agree! It really surprised me because Chelsea has always been such an independent girl -- I would never have guessed she would pull that! Not in a million years!

Boots and shorts are awesome when you have cute legs like Chelsea. :thumbsup2

I agree -- me, on the other hand, could NEVER pull that look off! :lmao:

Cute quilt!

Sounds like she had a great week!

Thanks! Chelsea had a lot of fun making the quilt, and she had a lot of fun on her trip!

I just read through your whole PTR and am excited for you and your family for your upcoming trip!! I can't wait to read all about it.

Trish

Wow! I can't believe you read the whole thing! :worship: Thanks for sharing my excitement!

So did you love the mom moment when she acted like your three year old again (aside from being mortified that the other people thought you were sending your daughter away)? I think as they grow up it is so nice to be reminded how important we still are to them.

I did afterwards! In the heat of the moment, I was dying from embarrassment though! Actually, it was probably a good thing Chelsea did that because it made me not fall to pieces until after she was on the plane, and I was sitting there watching it taxi down the runway! Now, that was really tough because neither child has EVER traveled without one of us except for little day trips with the grandparents, and there was my little girl on a great big airplane all by herself.

Her trip sounds wonderful, and she brought home two great souvenirs!

The fun is getting closer!!!

Chelsea had a great time, and before we know it, the Disney trip will be here!

I love the boots. The quilt is beautiful. Love the colors.
I'm so happy your surprise went well. And I can't believe your trip is in only 10 days :yay: Chelsea is going to have an unforgettable 13th birthday at Disney.

Thank you! Yes, I can't wait for the trip. The other night she said something about it being her birthday trip, and it was all about her. I had to gently remind her that it is not only her birthday trip, but also our summer vacation, so she would not be calling all the shots. LOL!

Chelsea is such a cutie. I can never get over either one of your kids, they're just awesome.

Ah, thank you so much! :goodvibes I think they are pretty great kids, myself. ;)

I love quilt she made and how she's rockin' her new cowboy boots. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I love both the boots and the quilt!

And it seems as though the reveal went quite well! To Disney World you go!

Yes, it did! Can't wait to be on the road to Disney in just ten days!!!

I recently read (I don't remember where) that when it's really busy at DHS they remove the car that is out front of Oscar's so there is more room to walk around in that area. Since that's the general area of Bo, maybe that's what happened to him.
