Top Secret Pixie Dust! A Surprise 13th Birthday PTR! NEW! TRIP REPORT LINK PAGE 220!

I laughed out loud at Chelsea's arms around your neck at the airport...Jasmine is terrified to fly so I can totally relate:lmao:

That quilt is gorgeous! Can't believe your trip is almost here!

Your trip is almost here and it's about time for us to go home. One of us is ready to go home and the other well you know how that goes!

:dance3: I'm ready to single digit dance...can I start now please?!?!?!?

Now, we can single digit dance! Only nine more days! party:

I recently read (I don't remember where) that when it's really busy at DHS they remove the car that is out front of Oscar's so there is more room to walk around in that area. Since that's the general area of Bo, maybe that's what happened to him.

That makes sense. I hope he comes back before we get there though. What would a birthday trip be without a picture without Bo???

That is so great! And the best part is that she has more surprises on the trip that she doesn't even know about! :thumbsup2 I'm very proud of you for keeping your secret! I don't think I could have! ;)

It was hard, and I didn't keep it as secret as I wanted to! ;)

Love that Bo has a place to sit on the bookshelf!

Living in Texas, I gotta admire those boots!!:goodvibes

Thanks! Chelsea knew before she even left that she wanted boots for her souvenir from Texas.

I love the quilt Chelsea made. So pretty. I like her boots too. She is a cutie. :cutie:
:rotfl: Chelsea's reaction to the flight at least she wasn't freaked out by the turbulence.

Yeah for 10 days left.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks! Yes, at least she wasn't scared. I would have been white-knuckled during all that turbulence.

Hehehe, I laughed out loud at the description of the mini meltdown at the airport. :rotfl:

Chelsea is such a character, I love it!

She is something else! I always enjoy hearing what comes out of her mouth -- well, except when it is sassiness.

Are we single digit dancing today!?! :woohoo:

Today we can single digit dance -- nine days!!!

What a fun post!! She looked very pleased. :)

Thanks, Katie! Chelsea was very pleased!

I'm glad Chelsea had a great time visiting in Texas. Love the quilt she helped Ms. Joan make!

I think I know how that "goooood" sounds!

Chelsea had a lot of fun making the quilt.

Yes, that "goood" was too funny!

Looks like Chelsea had a great trip! That quilt is really so pretty :thumbsup2

Hooray for the big reveal! And extra hooray for 10 days! :woohoo: (I don't count the day you leave so in my eyes today is really the single digit dance for you!)

I don't count the day we leave, either, so it was ten days yesterday. We leave on the 18th. :goodvibes

My goodness...I'm 28 yrs old and I don't think I could ever get on a plane by myself! :scared1: I'm glad to hear Chelsea had a good time on her trip. Love the cowboy boots and the quilt is beautiful! Sounds like the reveal went really well!

I didn't use to mind flying, but the older I get, the less I like being up there in the air. Chelsea had a great time! It was a nice experience for her to go and spend time with her grandfather and Ms. Joan all by herself.

WOOT!! YAY for a great reveal!!!! :cool1:

LOVE THAT QUILT!! They did a great job of making that together!!! WOW!!!

OOOH are we single digit dancing...are we :cool1::banana::cool1::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Thanks, Jen! I love that quilt, too! Chelsea went off to spend the night with her cousin last night and I noticed the quilt left the house with her.

We are officially single digit dancing this morning!!!

OH WOW!!!! What an amazing quilt :worship: I just love it!

I am so glad to hear that her vacation was so fun! Even more so, I am excited to hear that you are SO close to leaving :woohoo: Chelsea is so lucky to have such a special birthday surprise!!

I love the quilt, too! I wish Ms. Joan and Chelsea would make one for me, too! LOL!

Just nine more days! I can't wait!

Chelsea is too cute! I saw those pics on FB and LOL. I've seen her grow and mature over the last two years!! ;) Yay for online check in. I couldn't wait to do it either. Next week at this time we will be at Epcot! Yay!

Thanks! Chelsea has grown up so much over the last couple of years! It's amazing! Yeay for leaving soon for you! I can't wait to hear all about your trip!

Looks like Chelsea had a great trip and I LOVE those boots! Too cute! :goodvibes Great reveal!!! :thumbsup2 The clock is slowly ticking and it's almost time for you to go.........YAY for online check-in! :woohoo:

She did have a great time! I wish I could borrow Chelsea's boots -- they are so cute! The clock has been ticking very quickly for us lately! It's strange that the summer went by so leisurely, but the last week has flown by! I am starting to feel a little panicky about all the stuff I still need to do!

ME TOO!! :yay:
I love the look with Chelsea's boots and shorts. Wish I had legs that could pull that off!

Me too! LOL!

I think it's rather cute that she had the pre-flight drama! Just goes to show that 13 isn't all that grown up after all!

So true!!!

What a fun trip she had! Love the quilt. I'm glad she's excited for the trip!

We are all pretty excited! I have a Connor story to share about that very thing in the next update!

The others are right - you have great kids! Be proud - you did have a lot to do with it you know!

Ah, thank you! :goodvibes You have done an awesome job with your girls, too! :goodvibes

Let us know how online check in goes. Are you or did you make any room requests? I'm hesitant to do online check-in because if I don't get a room with my requests, it will be harder to ask someone if there's another room available. I didn't ask for much, just a full balcony at BC. I was informed that if you are in the online check in line, you don't get the opportunity to ask about the room and switching. I'm hoping that it won't be too busy when I check in on a Wednesday afternoon. I actually like interacting with the CM (usually) and the kids can explore the BC lobby. We shall see...

I have done online check-in for the past two trips and had a great experience with it both times. The rooms have been ready both times, and it was super fast. We didn't make any requests, though, so I don't know how that would work.

TEN DAYS!!!:woohoo:

How exciting!!!

ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL I can say is that when I saw that picture of Chelsea in her boots, the first thing that came into my head was:

"....these BOOTS are made for WALKIN' and that's what I'm gonna DO. And one of these days these BOOTS are gonna WALK all OVER YOU." :lmao:

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND now that you ALL have that song stuck in your head I will beat a hasty retreat! :rolleyes1

 I have been singing that song for the past two days! I have always loved it!

CP, her new room looks so neat! Love the colors! I used to travel to my grandparents alone on a plane too, I don't remember being scared. But it just goes to show for how much they grow, how much they are still our "babies"!!!! :goodvibes

Actually, that is her old room colors -- she won't get all her new bedding and paint colors until we are back. Well, MIL is doing all of it while we are gone. I love the way her room looks now, but I guess she is ready for a change. :( The quilt matches her new color scheme.

Chelsea is hilarious!! Her adoration of Bo really makes me smile. And the fact that she put her card on her bookshelf? That means you did good mom!

She has loved Bo longer than any of her other "crushes." LOL!

Online check in was fun for me. It feels good being able to "do something" before the trip when the only other thing you can do is wait.

Exactly! :thumbsup2

Great reveal! I love the story about the airport! Sounds like Chelsea had a blast in Texas. Love the boots too!

Chelsea just lost all sense of her "cool" self when it was time to say good-bye. LOL! She did have a great time being a Texan for a week. It was funny when we were driving home because she kept commenting on how different Georgia looked with all the green, trees, and hills than Texas (which in the Dallas area is very flat).

So did you do online check-in today?

Not yet. Doing it this morning. :thumbsup2

I was wondering the same thing!!!

Getting ready to do it in a few minutes!

10 days!!!! woo hooo!!!!! Glad that Chelsea had a great time in TX and I love here boots. The quilt also came out good. Glad she also like the card from Bo and silly bands!

Thank you!!! Chelsea had a wonderful time in Texas and now we can start getting ready for the Disney trip! Just nine more days!

I love the cowboy boots!! Her quilt is very pretty. My 2 boys have quilts that their great grandmother made. It is nice to have something homemade like that.
I love the colors in Chelsea's quilt.

So have you made a final decision in the cake?

Thank you! I love those colors and fabrics, too! Chelsea has quite the eye for colors!

No decision, yet, which I guess, in and of itself, is a decision of sorts.

I laughed out loud at Chelsea's arms around your neck at the airport...Jasmine is terrified to fly so I can totally relate:lmao:

That quilt is gorgeous! Can't believe your trip is almost here!

It was totally unexpected for Chelsea to do that -- she loves to fly, but has never gone anywhere on her own. I was so surprised.

Thanks! The days are just melting away! :thumbsup2

Your trip is almost here and it's about time for us to go home. One of us is ready to go home and the other well you know how that goes!

When do you head home, Wigd? I can't believe your trip is almost over -- it seems like you just got there!

Since we leave on July 18 (bright and early), today marks being in single digits!!! Hurray!!! Hurray!!!

I did online check-in this morning! I have my fingers crossed that our room will be ready when we arrive -- I hate not unpacking the car before we head to the parks.

In celebration of being in single digits, I have a Connor and Chelsea story for you that occurred the other night when we were headed back from the pool.

Connor: Mom, the night before Disney, will you give me some Benedryl? (He has never taken Benedryl for anything, but obviously remembers his sister taking it in the spring for hives, and how she always fell promptly asleep.)

Me: Why do you want me to give you Benedryl?

Connor: Because I won't be able to fall asleep.

Me: Why is that? (Of course, I really knew why because don't we all have a hard time falling asleep the night before Disney, but I wanted to hear what Connor had to say.)

Chelsea: Because the night before Disney is like Christmas Eve!!!

Connor: Yeah, Disney is just like Christmas -- you get stuff and you get to do all sorts of fun stuff.

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I love that my children are so excited about going to WDW.

On the other hand, here's what Charles said in the car yesterday.

Charles: Only ten more days until we are at The Scariest Place on Earth.

Me: :lmao: Honey, it's The Happiest Place on Earth.

Charles: Yeah, that's what I meant.

Gotta love Charles' enthusiasm. ;)

A great big ol' PFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT to Charles!!

We're on to him, we know that he gets excited and enjoys himself. Pffft! ;)

Connor is too cute. I'm so glad that both of your kids are excited about Disney, with all the flip flopping between Disney and the beach. :goodvibes

:dance3: Yay for single digits!!! :dance3:
I love that Chelsea and Connor compared the night before Disney to Christmas Eve. So cute and so true!
I hope your room is ready when you arrive :wizard:

:rotfl2: on Charles' comment.

And the kids are so sweet with the Christmas Eve comment. You know, as an adult, I don't get that feeling on Christmas Eve anymore, but I totally get it on Disney Eve. Can't sleep, OMG, we're going, yay!!! :goodvibes

I received an e-mail from Disney Visa today that Disney on Ice is going to be in Atlanta 10/13/10-10/17/10 at Philips Arena, Toy Story 3.

:dance3::woohoo: 9 more days until Disney. SINGLE DIGIT

That's so exciting! I can't wait to check in although it seems at 10 days out it might make those last 9 days even harder to wait!

I love that my children are so excited about going to WDW.

What a cute story! I admit, drugging Eric for our red eye flight is a possibility, that kid will not sleep in a car....I was just thinking about this the other day. He's related to me so it probably wouldn't make him sleepy anyway, it doesn't do squat for me!

On the other hand, here's what Charles said in the car yesterday.

Charles: Only ten more days until we are at The Scariest Place on Earth.

:rotfl2:

I hope we see food and wine Charles on this trip.

Men! :sad2: I'll never understand them. My dad will sit on a boat ALL DAY LONG, baking in the sun, eating beannie weenies straight from the can, watching a cork bob up and down endlessly in the murky water, and he thinks that is pure bliss! But the thought of swimming in a crystal clear pool, eating at fabulous restaurants, watching Broadway quality shows, and riding super magical rides sounds like absolute torture! How do they rationalize things in their heads? It really is beyond me!

I'm very glad that your kids get it though! Maybe you have gotten to Connor early enough that you will be able to prevent him from taking on that same "man mentality" about life! I'm sure his future wife will thank you! :rotfl:

:cool1::cool1: WOOT WOOT For Single Digit Dancing!!!!! :cool1::cool1: Wow you're trip got here FAST!! YAY!!!

Love the story shared between the kids!! Got to love the ethuasiasm they have!!

Okay I LOL'd at Charles' comment!! TOO FUNNY!!! You guys are going to have a great time!

WOO HOO for single digits!!!! HAHA, Chrales cracks me up!

I love that conversation between the two of them!!! SO SWEET!!!! Now Charles on the otherhand, we know that is his feeble attempt to mask his true inward excitement and enthusiasm about going back......I am sure he dreams of all the food he is about to eat already!!! ;)
