Was furiously trying to reach my AAA TA since 7:30 this morning when I saw the news on here. Got her, and she called and we were able to get FD by moving our arrival dates up to arrive Nov.1! Very relieved. Even able to keep our room at POR without problem. Good luck to all! I LOVE THIS SITE.

I just got off phone w/ them. First thing she said was "I see you are in a LM room. Unfortunately, those rooms, along with the cabins, are the only ones not included on the Free Dining."

I also spoke to an agent and she read me word for word her internal email of what is covered and what is not and what to tell guests. LM is not included in the discounts.

Has anyone talked to a CM and confirmed the 3 night minimum? A TA posted this morning on another thread that it was 2 night minimum and 2 day park minimum. I am really hoping a praying she's right. If so I want to upgrade to an AoA suite. I don't have the Visa so I have to wait until Thursday.

The free dining would only save my family $150, but I can't switch because we have tickets already. Not in the budget to buy a 2 day ticket for 3 to qualify, use our existing tickets, and just sit on the 2 day indefinitely which is the only other way I could swing it. If we get a 25% of 30% room discount, that will negate the difference and we will actually make out better. I called and tried different weeks in October and the agent said she saw now room only discounts.

I just got off the phone with Disney and I had LM rooms and had to change it to get the FD because they are not included.

Not sure if this applies only to the package specials ending Sept 29 or also the new deals, but the CM said the packages are selling the tickets at the old price. So there is a 7% or whatever savings right there.

So are you saying room discounts are available too? I called to check dates for free dinning (dates are correct, so I can't take advantage) and they told me there are no other offers at this time.

Just got off with Disney. We had a royal guest room booked that I had to give up for free dinning. we are now booked in a standard room but we do have free dinning. It really hurt to give up that rgr. She did say I could call back on thurs to see if any rgr become available for fd. Guess I'll be on the phone bright and early on thurs!

If I have already a room and regular dining package booked at POR for Nov 29 through Dec 8, will they honor the free dining if I call on Thursday? Or is it possible they might say no?

I just spent an hour and a half on the phone with Disney trying to get free dinning added to my pors royal guest room reservation. I could get a preferred room with fd but not a rgr. I was told to call back thurs to see if any royal guest rooms are available

Yes, they will give you the discount. Sounds like only preferred rooms at POR are on the discount, but it will still give you a savings.

It's not on Visa's site yet, but should be later today, and likely an an email to card holders signed up to get the emails. Disney fan sites, like the DIS here (wdwinfo.com) and others will be posting it soon too if they haven't already.

Free Dining only so far. We will probably see Room Only discounts later in the summer.

Ha! No, not really. We have had a Disney visa for at least 8 years and have NEVER been given the heads up on a free dining promotion before it came out. I have always seen the Disney Visa offer on different Disney planning boards long before Disney Visa advertised anything or sent anything out. The have only emailed me something a couple of times and that was usually after it was already open to the general public.

I apologize if this is a silly question, but I'm new to all this. Has anyone been able to get the FD with a Garden View room at the Poly? We have our 1st trip planned for Oct & I'm crossing my fingers we'll be able to get FD on Thursday.

There sure is a lot of difference between what everyone has been able to book at POR. I'd sure like to know what the deal is. I wanted a standard room with the DV FD offer but couldn't get it, while others have. Must be the dates????
