I think my kids used my Disney notebook for scratch paper Now I have to re-create all my plans... and try and figure out if I can rearrange some things if we decide to go DxDP for FD.... I don't know how I'm going to figure this all out.

So, who else isn't going to be able to sleep Wednesday night? We should probably start a thread for ... "Can't sleep, waiting to call for FD" I've been talking about getting FD with my girls and they have already decided where we will move our ressies to if I can't get in at POR RG room! I think they are becoming a bit obsessed too!

I hope to get my POR room too! I really want this resort.....but I have come up with a back up plan....and it's going to cost us more money but it's the only resort I will change to. Wilderness Lodge! I stayed there in 1997 in December and it's a beautiful resort. It's $600 more but if you figure in the fact that I'm saving $356 on the free dining, it's a little more tolerable. lol! Of course, I am hoping to keep my POR ressies!

Something else to keep in mind is that if your resort is full when you get through Thursday morning, keep checking back. Many folks have booked already somewhere else and might change plans when FD comes out. If there's a lot of shuffling, rooms could be added back into FD inventory.

So I should go ahead and book an alternate resort with the FD and hope my original becomes available, also with the free dining? I hate to be without the FD!

I'm really hoping to keep my POR also. The family (everyone but me) wants to upgrade to DxDP... would still be saving around $300 and we could eat more. Trying to figure out if it's "doable". We did it last time we went, but that was due to cousin with MS and she really needed the breaks. I think I can get us 3 places that would take up 2 dining credits but I still have 3 meals left. I know I can probably sneak one in on arrival day for lunch, but it's going to have to be "wing it" meal as we arrive at ORD around 1130a, so I can't really say what time we will get to DW. I can probably move back my Boma for that night.... GRRRR, I don't know what to do!!!!

looks like if the dates hold true to what is being said, I will not be in the group of FD.....guess it was a long shot hope, but sure would have been nice to see a PIN like we did the xmas before last......looks like we will be doing dining OP.....still happy that we will be there for xmas.....looks like I will be paying the last $200 of our trip off this week......glad for all that can take part in the savings-eat a little extra for us!

Really hope these dates are wrong. The last two years free dining has ended on the first Saturday in October so we planned our trip accordingly. According to the post free dining will end on the first Thursday in Oct. this year. I will be so bummed if we don't get free dining.

If you are staying for at least 5 nights, it would be worth it to do a split stay for the first two nights and pay out of pocket for your meals those two nights. After you check in for your first room only night you can go to Downtown Disney and pick up your package park tickets up to 3 days early.

We are scheduled to check in on the 6th so we are just out of luck if the dates are correct.

I figured when I called right a 7:00 and started waiting and waiting...it was being released...and of course I was calling for a different matter....and still on hold... Yippee. They really need to staff the phones better on days like this.

We just got off the phone too. Changed AoA LM and AoA LK rooms to 2 AoA Cars suites plus free dining upgrade. So excited!!

On hold with rep... taking forever... any moderate people who can report that you are getting the regular dining plan? My rep said something about upgrade... hoping she misspoke.
