I'm sitting in the lounge right now after a day of running around. It is so nice to unwind with a drink after navigating crowds of teenagers on spring break!!

The lounge is empty, and at this moment, it's nice being so quiet. I do hope the lounge will stay a place for members.

Is it not the greatest??? I REALLY hope they keep it open to DVC guests!! It is our absolute favorite place to "chill out"!!

Your DW is one lucky lady!!! We have booked and canceled that cruise a couple of times! Thinking of booking it for out 20th Anniv next April!!!

I was thinking the other day after reading post of people predicting that TOWL would wind up being for only private engagements etc. I was thinking if they are not getting enough business from BLT guest, maybe they shoul.d open it up to all DVC members.

How busy does it get a night for the fireworks? I will be there in 2 weeks, but the room looks pretty big. They could always take reservations for evening fireworks. Just some thoughts....

My wife and I went up yesterday around 7pm. No one was up there. About an hour before the fireworks, it started to fill up pretty quick. As soon as the fireworks ended, only my wife, myself, and 2 others stayed. We left at 11:15 and by that time it was empty.
I could see them allowing all DVC members access, but it should require a valid DVC member card. I could see some BLT guests complaining that it is getting too busy, but I'd rather the lounge be busy than closed!!

We were there 2 nights last week. Almost no one there until shortly before the fireworks. DH and I did our part one evening 2 drinks a a flatbread each. I'd hate to see it close.

don't think it will close - but disney has say they will definitely be renting it out.

but the nights or days that they don't rent it - can see them letting DVC members still use it.

I truly believe the nights of only for BLT guests are numbered. Way too much money being lost for Disney. Hopefully they will at least leave one or two nights a week for BLT members.

Even though we don't own at BLT, I'd hate to see that perk go away, I imagine for some, that was a draw to buy there. I would hope they'd open to all DVC members before they'd close it!

I think if they open to all DVC members they will need to add a cover charge or a minimum time before fireworks to go up (so that you are ordering something) becuase I can see many people just going up 15 minutes before the fireworks crowding the deck and then leaving and that won't do anything more than what happens now. We always order when we go up so I wouldn't mind a minimum cover charge for using it.

Hey, I wouldn't mind ordering a frou-frou drink or appitizer!! I'd just hate to see this going for special events ONLY.

not a fan of outright cover-charges, wouldn't mind paying $5 pp and receiving voucher for a 'free' beverage.

we were thrilled to be able to book BLT again in July. The lounge is certainly a nice way to end the day, we went up after watching wishes from our balcony. Its nice to know if you don't have a view of MK you still have the opportunity to enjoy Wishes from the lounge, would be a shame if it's discontinued.
