Top Chef Masters - Who will be watching

Honestly, I'm surprised at the order in which they finished. I expected, well, someone different to be last.

Me too - but I am happy with the results.........now I want to go try these restaurants.

Me too. At least one of my favorites won, I was going back and forth between two and just wanted one to lose. I agree that I would love to eat at some of these restaurants :thumbsup2, this was one fun show!

I am happy Rick won. I would love to go to one of his restaurants someday

I really thought it would be Hubert, then Rick and finally Michael. I would have been glad with any of them winning.

I especially liked when Michael told Rick that the water was getting low in his banana leaves. All of the chefs showed great class toward one another.

Also surprised at the outcome. Did not expect Michael to come above Hubert.
I am glad Rick won. He truly deserved it. :goodvibes

I think Hubert's second course with the souffle is what started him off downhill. His precision is always top notch. The dish was not presented well on the plate & they commented on it being not cooked perfectly, IIRC.
He cooked salmon which was a little boring I think. Plus the garlic in the lamb on the third course. Did not go over well with the critics. Then he finished with the sweetbreads and one of the comments again was not cooked perfectly. I wonder if his sous chef had a hand in the overcooking?

I think Bayless suffered with his last dish due to his sous chef.

(You can go on the site and "rate the plate".;))

We watched it last night and I was SO excited to see that Rick won. I was shocked that Michael came in above Hubert in the end. I'm not a fan of Michael though.

Now I wish I had been texting when they had all those commercials with the questions to text in. We want to eat at one of Rick's restaurants anyway. My company just started using a vendor in Chicago and I want to tell my boss that if someone needs to go visit this company they can send me. :thumbsup2

Always on the outside..I wanted Michael to win. LOVE his arrogance! DH was rooting for Hubert, but we're both happy for Rick. Would love to eat his food someday.

I follow Rick on Twitter. He was so excited all during the show and seems like such a nice guy. He posts pictures of his restaurant, different meals he's made, of his gardens. I was rooting for Hubert, but Rick was definitely my second choice.

Oh, I think I'm going to have to do that. I'm not much of a Twitter person but I'm going to have to head over there.

"If you were salivating over the four-course meal that catapulted Rick Bayless to victory on Wednesday night's finale of "Top Chef Masters," listen up: It's being offered -- plus one course, a peach tart to end -- at his restaurant, Topolobampo, for $90."

About his win, from his words:

Rick just posted these on his Twitter. I love using Twitter because it is an automatic connection to breaking news, breast cancer health updates, interesting updates only from people that you want to follow. I rarely post anything and often delete people or groups who aren't interesting or chatter all day about nothing, but fun people like Rick, CNN, soap opera updates, many chefs, and many news reports are so interesting.

My husband wants to try that Mole so bad. With all these great travel deals out right now I wonder if I could book a cheap weekend trip to Chicago...

I may have to work on looking for one this weekend. :scratchin Is it terrible that I'm completely serious? If you come across any deals from Charlotte to Chicago or any hotel deals let me know. Or if you know of a great place to stay in Chicago let me know. I know nothing about it!
