2. ... After the storm, we knew we were going to be out of power for a fairly long period of time. We called up our
DVC guide and added on a 120 point Vero Beach contract... and immediately booked a return trip for the next few days.
It saved us from sitting in an unheated, powerless home for a few days. It ultimately added to our love of DVC and all things Disney.
1. ...I jokingly (okay... half-jokingly) told my daughters to chant 'one more day' to my wife.
After awhile... it worked. She agreed that if we could stay in our room... we'd be able to stay for one more day. I called up DVC Member Services and we were able to book another night in the same room category at AKV.
I'll always remember the first trip... but I'll remember even more that having the ability to borrow the extra 12 points from the next year meant no added cost for us to enjoy an extra day on our trip.
There are so many times I look at our investment and just smile because of what it allows us to enjoy.
