We are going to plan 3 character meals for our trip..tell me your choices for:

DH & DW (does not necessarily have to be character but the kids will be with us)

DS11

DD6

It know it will be tough to decide but I know everyone has their favorite!

:grouphug:

My top three dining experiences are:

Eating in the Castle: We had lunch, but now you'll have to request dinner for non-character meal, request the first PS time and a window seat. Eating in the castle is very cool and having a window seat just adds to it. Kids would probably like a character meal, my ds could really care less about eating with princesses though.

Early Breakfast PS inside MK: We had 8:20 Ps for Crystal Palace and being able to walk down an empty Main Street is so awesome! You'll have to make sure it's not early entry on the day of your breakfast. BTW~~Crystal Palace was great. The character interaction was fabulous and the breakfast food was so good and there were so many choices.

If you could get an early PS for breakfast in the Castle you could combine my top two dining experiences.

Aquarium seat at Coral Reef: You'll have to have a 5:00 dinner PS for the best chance. We loved every second of it. The food was good, the service was good, the atmosphere is great!

And since I combined my top two I'll throw in one more...

Ride to monorail (see if you can ride in the conductor's car) over to the Contempory to eat at Chef Mickey's. The food is decent, but the whole experience can't be beat. This was my son's favorite. He got to honk the monorail horn.

Crystal Palace: We had an 8:05 am priority seating and were able to enter the Magic Kingdom before the public. It was amazing walking down Main Street with no one inside. The food at the CP was so delicious and the character interaction was fantastic. :wizard:

Cinderella's Royal Table: We had dinner here but it wasn't a character meal. As we entered upstairs, there was Cinderella. We were seated next to the window and were able to look over Fantasyland. Peter Pan and Captain Hook were chasing each other outside the window, it was a great surprise and fun to see so many characters when it wasn't even a character meal. The filet of beef was delicious, which my mom and I split! My dad had the prime rib with mashed potatoes, very good! I had Walt's Apple Bread pudding for dessert with caramel drizzled on top and walnut ice cream. My mom had the chocolate cake with raspberry and chocolate sauce on the side, she loved it. Service was fantastic, it was the best service we had had on our whole entire trip. And to top things off, we saw Mary Poppins in the lobby on our way out. :)

Liberty Tree Tavern: We had the character dinner here before Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. The food was served family style and there was plenty of it! Salad w/ strawberry dressing, rolls w/ honey butter, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, mac and cheese, pork, turkey, and flank steak. For dessert there was apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream. Our server was happy to bring out more of whatever we wanted although all of the food let us feeling stuffed! :goodvibes Very good! Character interaction was wonderful. There was Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy, and Pluto. They're dressed up in Colonial style outfits which were very cute. :flower:

DH & DW (+ kids) Not a character dinner -- but I would eat at Morocco! :cool1: Could be a great memorable photo shoot if anyone wants to join in with the belly dancer! :goodvibes

Agree on the Garden Grille. Plus Soarin' is (or will be) right there....... :rolleyes1 :dancer:

Crystal Palace?? :scratchin Character meals are not necessarily our cuppa tea.

My kid friendly favorites

1. LeCellier. Consistently good food, and a comfortable atmosphere.

2. Kona Cafe. Excellent food in a great surrounding.

3. Concourse Steakhouse. Food is good, and kids love to watch the monorail come and go.

We are not huge buffet fans, but over the years we've done 'em alll, and our favorite character meal is Donald's Breakfastasouras (sp?). Thats the only one we go back to every year.

We always eat at several character meals every trip:

1 - Liberty Tree - have been returning here every year since 2000. Definitely a must -do for dinner! :) The characters are always a lot of fun here, but this is also some of our favorite food - like a Thanksgiving spread.

2 - 'Ohanna's for breakfast - the best character interaction around. We also enjoy that this one is also family style, so no waiting in line at a buffet, but still all you can eat. The characters here just really make the experience.

3 - Cape May Cafe - for any meal! ;) We love the clam-bake dinner here (no characters) & there is plenty to eat for everyone. Never had a bad meal here. We also recently began eating breakfast here, too. The buffet has a lot to offer & often isn't as crowded as a meal in the parks.

HTH! :teeth:
