Our tooth fairy leaves $10 for the first, and $5 for each one after that.

The dentist told her that any lost at their office are worth more but, thankfully, so far that hasn't come into play.

All three kids have lost teeth over the years at wdw. It's well known that Tink has territorial jurisdiction over all the disney kingdoms so, by fairy law decree, she brought special disney dollars & trinkets for teeth lost while on vacation. I've learned the hard way to go prepared though - it's really hard to find glitter, a tiny treasure chest, miniature trinket box, or a tooth fairy pillow at night without advance notice in Tink's kingdom.

At my mom's the tooth fairy leaves a crisp twenty. When questioned, it was decided that's because grandmom lives in a higher rent district populated by older people so baby teeth were at a preminum over there...:lmao:

2 of the gold Sacagawea dollar coins, a tiny toy and a Dreampearl (www.dreampearls.com)

For a while, my daughter was convinced that the Tooth Fairy had converted her lost teeth into those pearls :)

The Tooth Fairy leaves $5 for the first tooth and then a $2 bill for each tooth after that.

Except when we were in Disney World, my daughter lost a tooth and Tinkerbell helped out the Tooth Fairy and she left a $5 Disney Dollar!! :wizard:

That's what we do, and my DD also lost a tooth at Disney and Tink brought Disney Dollars! We were getting off the boat at Boardwalk and I thought she was picking popcorn out of her teeth, but it was a tooth that fell out!

My daughter even shared her Disney Dollars with her twin brother....she's nice like that.

The Tooth Fairy brings $2 in gold coins for the 1st lost tooth and $1 gold coin for each tooth lost after that. The Tooth Fairy also leaves the tooth on mommy's dresser so mommy can keep it for the baby book.

We always left 1.00 along with a pretty note, on shiny paper and with scroll handwriting for the first, 2.00 for the second, 3.00 for the third.....and so on. We had a long span in there from our first 2, and our last 3 children.....so I'd kind of enjoyed not having to play Santa and the Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny....etc anymore. Sneaking in to their room and trying to wiggle a tooth out from under their pillow is the hardest thing....especially with light sleepers and a mom that likes to go to bed early, I hate staying up until they are hard asleep.

Anyhow, I think we've decided to continue the graduated payment method for teeth, as a few dollars means a LOT to a 5 year old when they lose those first teeth, but then as they get older and lose their last teeth around tween/teen years they appreciate the larger amounts. We are changing how they put their teeth out though, I think we're going to hang a little 'tooth fairy' pouch on their door knob so I don't have to disturb their sleep and try to find these little teeth underneath a pillow LOL

Tooth Fairy leaves $5 for the 4 middle teeth (2 top/2 bottom.) DS6 JUST lost his 2nd tooth about ONE HOUR AGO!!!!! That's why I just had to open this thread. After reading this thread, I sure wish DS had kept it in till our trip mid-Sept. The plan is that TF will leave $2 for all the other teeth. DD8 has only lost her 4 middle teeth, so the plan hasn't come into play yet. Oh, and TF keeps the teeth. :tinker:
