We're heading down to WDW this week and my daughter has 2 loose teeth (her first ones!). I'll have to make this good, huh? Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll lose them in her mac n cheese at the Princess Storybook Dinner at Akershus?! princess:

The Tooth Fairy leaves $5 for the first tooth and then a $2 bill for each tooth after that.

Except when we were in Disney World, my daughter lost a tooth and Tinkerbell helped out the Tooth Fairy and she left a $5 Disney Dollar!! :wizard:

Aww, that's so cute!

My daughter got $100 for her first tooth (we were going to Disney in 2 months so it was her spending money).

She got $5 - $10 for the other 3 teeth she lost.

Wow, I wish I got that much when I was little. :rotfl:

The first tooth is 5, after that is 2. However, my littlest had to have two pulled early, when she was three, with sedation, space maintainers and the whole bit so she got $5 for each tooth, for "pain and suffering". Fairy keeps the teeth.

My 8 year old lost one today, and DH and I thought about bumping it to $5 b/c of their suprise disney trip...LOL

Dang, our tooth fairy must be really cheap

She leaves $5 for the first tooth, then $1 for each of the others.

Ours is even more frugal - she leaves 25 cents, along with something she picked up in her travels - a foreign stamp or coin or paper currency, or a neat marble or whatever she finds. Sometimes a little fairy dust (glitter) too.

I gotta say I like the foreign currency and stamp ideas. I wish I had heard about these before now!!

she leaves a gold sacagewea (sp?) dollar. Except when my daughter had to have 4 teeth pulled she left a $20. I felt so sorry for that kid.

That is what ours leaves too.

Except last year when dd#1 lost a tooth in Disney. It was wiggly one night when we were coming 'home' from one of the parks. Since it was late & I knew the Poly gift shops were not open, I told her not to wiggle it for fear it would get too loose & fall out in the middle of the night .

OK I had a fear she'd wiggle it & at 11pm or so the tooth would fall out & I wasn't going to DtD at that hour.

So she wiggled it when it woke up (phew!) & I told her Tink would come visit her & I went to the desk to see if they had pixie dust of some sort but they didn't but they gave me 2 Tink pins which I thought was nice. I did, wait no, Tink brought her a Tink bracelet too.

Holy Cow !! I feel like a cheapskate now... I mean my toothfairy does. $1 for the 1st tooth and 25 or 50 cents for the rest.

$5 and disney pen or similar for 1st tooth.

Then its hit or miss after that...this way no one expects or remembers what was given...at least in my house they cant remember.

I voted $1 but they get $5 for the first tooth and $5 for the last tooth. Tooth fairy keeps all the teeth.

Exactly what I did! Only exception was when DD lost a tooth at WDW--then Tinkerbell stepped in to help out the tooth fairy and left $10 in Disney Dollars with Tinkerbell on them!

The first tooth gets $2 plus a whistle. My DD said something about a whistle when her first tooth was loose - Thanks to Little Bear on Noggin! She now get $2 per tooth.

Her last tooth rated $5, as the dentist needed to pull it - just would not come out on its own and the new tooth was putting pressure on it, pushing it into the gum. She was a real trooper... did not fuss at the novicane needle.

At our house, you get $20 for the first tooth ('cause you were brave!:goodvibes) then $5 for every tooth after that. Tooth Fairy has all the teeth. Of course, this was several years back since DS is 19 and DD is 18!

This was usually what we did too, but I only have one child. Also, my DH thought of a really cute idea. He would randomly throw change around on the floor and tease DD that TF must have a hole in her purse, 'cause she didn't realize she left a little extra on the floor. :rotfl:

$2 for the first tooth and a $1 coin for the rest.

My daughter got $100 for her first tooth (we were going to Disney in 2 months so it was her spending money).

She got $5 - $10 for the other 3 teeth she lost.

I had to read that a few times - $100?!? OMG

My son got $2 bill for his first tooth, then only $1 for the 2nd tooth since it couldn't be found, fell out at nap time at daycare. I will probably stick to that with my daughter: $2 bill for the 1st tooth, then $1 for each after that. Our tooth fairy leaves money in a 'pocket'/pouch that we made to hang on the door knob (So I didn't have to deal with the under the pillow thing and harder to forget when I see it on his door when I walk past).

I was beginning to think my tooth fairy was cheap, but yours leaves the same as mine! $2 for the first (and special teeth) and $1 for the others.

The tooth fairy actually leaves a quarter per year of age here.

DD was kinda late loosing teeth, so it made it a positive (she is going into 6th grade in 3 weeks and still has only lost 8 teeth) to be older.

DS is having two pulled next Monday, two weeks before his birthday, so I was kidding him that he's loosing out on 50 cents.

In our house it varies from $2-$5 depending on how many teeth the tooth fairy has to pick up that night. If she has lots of teeth to collect around the world then she might only leave $2 because she has to stick to her budget. If it's a slow night for her then she will leave $5. (I had to come up with a reason to explain why some kids get more and others less.) :rotfl:

A girl DD dances with (6 years old) just got $25 for her tooth. I sure hope she doesn't tell DD. I'm not sure how I'll explain that. She already has DD putting a Blackberry on her Christmas list because she (the other little girl) got one for Christmas last year.

DD is never going to get $25 for one tooth, and she's not getting a Blackberry either, LOL. I'm wondering how long it will take before she asks to go live at the other girl's house.

Wow I wish my tooth fairy was that nice. If I remember corretly I only got a quarter....and im not that old, 27 so its not like its been forever ago. Not sure what we will do with DD but shes only 3 so i think i have time to figure it out....sounds like i need to start saving though with the going rates :rotfl2:

1st tooth get $10 and each one after gets $5. They both lost one last week. Ds8 has lost 10 (including 1 extraction) and dd5 has lost 4 (2 extractions due to abcesses from backed up sinuses - was in the hospital for 5 days - she got cash and a gift for that).
